Sorry, I still cannot understand why there's a problem with his dad being at races.

Anthony Hamilton gave everything to get his son this chance, so why should he not be allowed to attend the races? If you were him, and Lewis decided not to invite you to Grands Prix, how would you feel?

It's not arrogance, it's not for glory, it's because they are family, and families support each other.

I always thought the Spanish were a family-orientated nation...

Our Fernando Alonso (TWO times champion) didn't win because McLaren never trust in him, they prefer to help Hamilton win the championship, and all know what finally happen...

Dennis: "we were racing against Fernando not Kimi" :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Dennis = Looser.

I was thinking the same thing.

I thought Kimi didn't seem as thrilled as he should. I think after what happened with McLaren they weren't allowed to win the title.

Eh? And when did you see Kimi thrilled, mind you? :D

Just watching Kimi's reaction at the end of the race, he didn't seem like someone that's snatched the title from under the noses of his biggest rivals.

Topics like this open up a whole can of worms and normally get ridiculed by most as conspiracy theories, however I've noticed of late there seems to be one front page contraversy in F1 each year. Are these all just publicity stunts?

McLaren were slapped on the wrist, but it was handled very carefully and most people think the punishment was too harsh. In fact it could have even been good for the team as they got many sympathy votes.

A lot of the press and media surrounding Stephneygate pointed out that the teams have been doing this for many years in F1. I'm sure McLaren were happy to pay the 100 Million dollar bill for the kind of coverage they received in the tabloids around the world.

I think in hindsight (after the Brazil outcome) the light penalty for the spy saga was not a good thing for McLaren. McLaren would have been better off being banned for this year - that way they would have saved face and wouldn't have had to endure the embarrassment of Brazil and they would have been the martyrs with even more brownie points among the public.

I don't know where you got the impression that McLaren want to be seen as martyrs or score brownie points Dali. Perhaps your attitude says more about your psyche and emotional equilibrium than it does about anyone else's.

Maybe they effectively were, if they'd been kicked out at that time the damage to the sport would've been massive but for the sake of the sport and the sponsors they were allowed to keep racing as long as they didn't win the championship (would explain FAs lacklustre performance and laterly LHs strange incidents), the constuctors championship would've been far more difficult to engineer in such a way and exclusion from that would be seen as the penalty. To me it might also explain some of MMs statements as he didn't seem to happy that Mclaren were still racing and some of the statements that came from Ferrari about how much Ferrari data had been used by Mclaren.

I know I've changed my tune a bit and before someone else says it, it is all assumption and presumtion on my part.

I have no problem (in fact I'm quite glad) with Kimi winning it but I don't believe he won it in Brazil yesterday.
