he would only have pissed off a few people because what he says is the truth and they know it!!!!!.....even wRONg Dennis hasnt denied the difference FA has made to the team, he only tried to alleviate his comments by implying that it was an all round team effort to push the performance parameters of the car!!!!....kimi is supposedly the fastest driver out there so how come he couldnt win a single race in 06????....because neither kimi or hamilton have the set up knowledge of Alonso, and maybe its starting to show!!!.....and talking of not very clever comments, has everyone forgotten lewboy referring to other drivers as the "monkeys at the back".....very clever considering hes got to drive on the same circuits as the "monkeys"!!!!

It's well known that McLaren have only produced competitive cars every other year since the turn of the century. Or at least for the past few years anyway.

Alonso comments are a huge insult to the 1000 McLaren mechanics, designers, etc. Mclaren was winning world chapionships when Alonso wasn't even born. What a egocentric, selfish, mean person alonso is. If Lewis can't win the WDC I hope Massa or Kimi pick up the WDC.

easy....i have a workshop in London where i repair American cars(Corvettes and Firebirds only), and all my customers pay me shitloads of cash when they pick their cars up, and then i go and spend it!!!!!

Look at what's happened at Renault without him, look at what's happened at McLaren with him.

A double world champion brings status to a team as well.

It's interesting how a driver get's a couple of notches in his belt in F1 and his every word and move is criticized.

exactly Demure......look at the difference in the 2 teams fortunes this year from last year and maybe brain cells in the alonso slaggers might start to stir a little!!!!!.....even Ayrton had trouble with wRONg Dennis.....wRONg has a history of incompetent man-management within his team, as this episode with Coughlan taking the Ferrarri data from Stepneymust surely show!!!!!.....hes obviously not been managing the staff too well for Coughlan to put the teams whole season in jeopardy by taking documents he must surely have known to be stolen!!!!!!!....anyone who has said recently that the publicity surrounding the spy scandal is good for f1 is talking bo!!ox!!!! and i see on yahho sport the poison pixie reckons now McLaren wont face any punishment at the appeal hearing on September 13!!!!!....yet a few weeks ago he was calling for McLarens head on a plate!!!!!

as you say. you have put your case across very convicingly, and that is your opinion, and you also take the view that you have the majority of support on this issue!!!!....is that not arrogant to assume that the majority agree with your point of view without really knowing???? i do not look to garner anybody elses opinion on this matter, because the fundamental FACTS speak for themselves, and this is all i am trying to point out without being arrogant as you try to imply!!!! i havent insulted you in any way, but you choose to assume that i am "arrogant" or "obsessed"!!!!.....and you tell me my posts are not worth reading!!!....ok.....dont read them then!!!!! i go back to the aforementioned statistics regarding the difference in performance this year from last between McLaren and Renault, and that the denominator in the equation is FA!!!!!!

You can change statistics to show whatever you want them to show. You could, for example, state that McLaren are faster now that they have got rid of Raikkonen. While I'm not completely disagreeing with what you're saying, basing an argument solely on statistics that can't actually be proven doesn't necessarily win you an argument.

Statistics 'show' that Honda got slower when they took all the weight of the sponsorship decals off their cars!

Michael Schumacher has over twice as many Grand Prix wins and championships victories than Ayrton Senna. Does that mean Schumacher was over twice as good as Senna? I should hardly think so. You have to look at the events, causes and results, which are behind all statistics.

I was not referring to Joe Public here, I was referring to the many designers, engineers and mechanics who work their socks of to give Alonso a fast car......for which he appears completely ungrateful atributing everything to himself.

Don't understand this point. Alonso looks the most erratic driver out of the top four (eg. Canada). Sure, Kimi has made a couple of mistakes in qualifying but that has nothing to do with setting up the car. Alonso hasn't won since the Nurburgring, and that was a total lottery, granted he was faster in the wet than Massa.

Plus, there's a rumour that Alonso is withholding setup information from Hamilton, and this might have contributed to his tyre failure in Turkey. If he has this expansive setup knowledge compared to Lewis, then how come Lewis was matching his pace throughout the race? And why does he feel the need to withhold information from his rookie teammate?
