The only football I even remotely care about are big international games, I've never go the point of supporting a club that's in a place nowhere near you; why would someone in Manchester support Man U and not Man City is beyond me. But international games are supposed to be the best players of every country in the world so they are quite good to watch.

Also as an Italy supporter I can't wait for them to thrash England on Saturday.

If Italy wins, google "Little Italy, Toronto" to watch the festivities unfold.
Sure, it may be the first game; but, a win is a win!!

I just like it that they lost since Alonso will be disappointed.

Australia lost 3-1 to Chile, That's a win for us almost, Our guys did put in a good effort regardless of the lost. We have to be realistic, where the lowest ranked team in this years WC. So if where just competitive in the games we play and don't get blown off the park, I think the Aussie media won't be as harsh on them.

Hopefully we can put up a fight to Spain and Netherlands but suspect the worst, especially against Netherlands after pounding Spain with 5 goals, imagine what they could to Australia

Trust Italy to bore us all with their usual repertoire of negative defensive play and cynical dives and play acting, stifling creativity and passion

And what a drama queen that Balotelly is as well, good goal but has to turn it into a soap opera with the gestures to the crowd like he wasnt loved in England more than Italy while he was here

I think England should threaten to leave the world cup.

I thought England lacked any real creativity for the most part; even more so when Sturridge left the field, I think Gerrard is looking tired and Rooney couldn't hit a barn door from two yards in an England shirt, time for these two to be moved on from the national team. England's defence was terrible, especially for the second goal, Balotelli was completely unmarked, same goes for the first goal, Marchisio had acres of space to place his shot! The English defence gave the Italians way too much space to maneuver on the ball and were lucky to not lose 4-1, the Italians hit the woodwork twice!
