He has been leading Kev home mostly this year. Think how highly rated Kev is/was at the start of the year

But he should be beating a rookie, a WDC with 22k mikes of testing in Barcelona. The statement that he's been leading Kevin home "not by much" should be the complete statement; 14 years in the sport and he leads a rookie under tremendous pressure by 3 points.

I would be expecting more from Jenson. In the sport you don't always get a great car, what good is experience if you can't apply it to gain appreciable results when you don't have a great car under you?

Hang on…I've been so wrapped up in the last few races and of late, the possible movement of personnel up and down the paddock, I've lost sight of one figure. Anyone heard the whereabouts of one Martin Whitmarsh? He seems to have simply and literally vanished off the face of the earth. Geez, when McLaren banish you, they BANISH you!

Some fan found him in a small village somewhere near Kent about 3 months ago. That is literally the only thing anyone has heard or seen of him since he was banished....

Well, in response to the rumor mill about a possible Alonso to Mercedes AMG Hybrid, team boss Toto Wolff added: "We think long-term -- we are not interested in one night stands." (Source: a journalist from motorsport.com) Oh dear!

This has been a Noahs Ark type year so far, they come in 2 by 2. look at Mercedes, Red Bull, Mclaren, STR, and Sauber in the driver standings. Most of the sessions times I have looked at are similar

I think It was a joke.

But with Whitmarsh gone McLaren have to make changes and buck up. Jenson isn't worth 15mil, he's not the third best driver on the grid, he can't develop that car and he shouldn't be just pipping a rookie.

They need a driver who can develop a car, who can handle it when it's not perfect and point things in the right direction.

They have Honda coming, and that's a great opportunity, but at the moment they have the best engine on the grid and are doing worse than the other teams with the engine. So Honda isnt going to solve all their problems.

They need to make a lot of changes to get back to there position at the sharp end of the grid. And I hope they do.

I think, Button is right. DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN. Two experienced drivers can develop better. Because theyt can go two seperate ways on development. One will work, the other will not. Anyway, maybve kevin is just very good. Like Lewis with Fernando. Fernando didnt do sooo much better than him. same thing probably applies here. Ferrari have two experienced guys, they should be improving, So should mercedes. Mclaren should have hired HULKENBERG. he would have been perfect.

Two experienced drivers can often send the team in opposite directions! Especially if their driving styles are very different. An experienced driver should be in his element with the team looking to him for guidance.

the 2007 McLaren was pretty good from the outset. This years needs work and guidance.

If this keeps up, Hulk was better off going to Force India again. They may become the second fastest Mercs Engined car on the grid if McLaren keep falling backwards
