You sound pretty sure...I see two big issues with this:

1) Marko is starting to be quite vocal about Ricciardo and his performance, in a positive way...plus he's a Redbull guy. Why take an outsider?
2) Horner was very open about his policy of not having two cocks in a hen house when questioned about Lewis joining Redbull. So he considers Kimi as a hen? I don't think so.

But stranger things have happened.

Lotus are going very well! Kimi is in the running for the WDC after 6 races, the car is one of the best, and he owns the team just like Alonso owns Ferrari and Vettel owns Redbull. What more does he want?

All teams are prepared, to treat unequal drivers unequally, but for some teams, its a bigger deal than for others I think.

Redbull have won the WCC and WDC with Vettel and Webber, 3 seasons in a row, and are leading both this season, as poor as Webber has been doing, bringing in Kimi and unsettling the team plus paying for his ice-creams, and tying to get Kimi to pretend he likes drinking Redbull probably isn't worth it.

That in itself could almost cripple Red Bull financially.

That sounds horrible, although Kimi might open up a new product line for them, so you never know they may take him on; if only to manage their new RedBull icecream range.
