I'll go for a podium of Hamilton, Alonzo and Massa in no particular order...

and a 'flying high' Sato to take fourth... after taking out 2 others... including Kimi pmsl!...

I reckon:

3. Kimi

Alonso to retire, and Super Aguri to get a point :)

Ide got banned last year after San Marino when he put Albers upside down after a few barrel rolls. The last we ever saw him...:P

One of the problems for Ferrari in Canada was that because it's the toughest track on the brakes, they had changed brake brand for that one race and the drivers may have felt less confident. In Indy Ferrari will be back with the regular supplier Brembo.

why did they change brakes? first i heard of that!

Because Brembo wasn't able to cope with the braking in Canada, so they switched to another brand (the name escapes me right now) for just that one race. But they'll be back to using Brembo for the rest of the season. The difference between the brands has to do with one is lasting longer but is harder while Brembo gives more control but lasts not as long. Something to that effect anyway, that's what Matchett said.

I'm hoping for a Ferrari one-two and McLaren retirement but fear thats very unlikely.

I will predict fourth position, being Heidfeld. I think the Toyotas will go well here.

None of you have given the win to LH, but all are going for Massa. You know what I think, both Macca and LH are going to be even stronger this weekend.

Macca 1 and 2 anybody ?

Remember we were assured that Monaco was just a flash in the pan and Ferrari would bounce back in Canada. They did bounce ...........backwards. So why should Indy be any different. LH is brimming with confidence and is riding on the crest of a wave. I can't think of anyone in finer form at the mo.

The reason why nobody has tipped LH for the win is because that's what we are all scared of. IF McLaren have another 1/2 then goodnight Vienna for all the other teams and drivers, they will be completely unstoppable...

Last practice just finished. Interesting.

Alonso seems determined to show who's boss, not just at Macca but overall. He has been at the top of the time sheets in all 3 sessions held so far. Can he keep it there in a couple of hours time when it matters.

Vettel - 2nd. WOW. No comment necessary. It speaks for itself.

Lewis H - 3rd. Right up there at the sharp end as usual.

Kovalainen - 4th. Renault renaisance ? Look at Fizi, also good in 8th place.

Nick H - 5th. Up there as usual, but he'll have to pull his finger out not to get embarrased by young Vettel.

Kimi - 6th. More important, fastest Ferrari. This is supposed to be a Ferrari track.

Massa - 7th. Was Monaco a flash in the Macca pan? Was Canada a flash in the Macca pan?

I don't think so.

I'll take the dog walkies for an hour then sit back to watch quali. It's looking good.

There are rumors that McLaren overnight had to change LH's engine. Supposedly they did it behind closed doors so that the competition wouldn't know and adjust their strategy. Officially, it would be announced by the race stewards only after quali. Windsor asked an official the question and he said he couldn't say.

Quali over and LH right up there again. Nando has been fastest in every session except the last one. I feel sorry for him. I bet he must feel gutted.

Ferraris on the 2nd row but Massa almost half a second in arrears of LH, with Kimi 4th. I suspect Kimi is quite heavy.

Nick H best of the rest again, and good to see Heiki K find his form at last.

Ferraris have more top speed than Maccas so Massa needs to make a very good start and lead at the end of lap 1 if he wants any hope of a win.
