Meant to mention it earlier, but I hate the fact that T-BARS now are yellow for one car and BLACK for the other. Where does that make sense?

Whats the issue with black?

That at a distance you can't pick it up nearly as easily as you can the neon red. There is trouble identifying Lewis and Nico already with the yellow helmets, the T-BAR makes it even more difficult.

The quickest way for me to tell at the moment is that one has black gloves the other yellow.

I agree with WB the T-bar colours, so i'm not the only one that was thinking that, it was much easier to pick red from yellow as now with black and yellow, its harder to pick up for some weird reason as black and yellow are two totally different colours. perhaps i need to get my eyes checked or something.

But Surely if you cant see a bright yellow T-bar (which I believe is hard to miss, even in bad conditions), it means its the black one?

You're making an assumption, what if there is no black one? You look like a fool saying "it's the black one I'm sure of it since I can't see the yellow one"

But thats why your room analogy doesnt work - as in real life, you've already seen the F1 car, so you know there IS a T-bar there!

The point isn't about seein a T-BAR it's about seeing a T-BAR quicker. Given some situations, like water spray being kicked up, you can't argue that it's easier to see a black one than a neon red one. Deduce all you want, it's easier the old way and it was a moronic idea to change it.

I was in complete panic when one Merc pulled of on Sunday. I wasn't happy for Rosberg but I'd have been distraught if it had been Lewis. I was frantically looking forTbars, I've given up on the helmet. Neither work when you're in a state of panic. I have to wait till the name comes up. It's ok if I'm watching that particular car ,or the two of them together, because I have them sorted, but if the TV suddenly switches to one if them having an incident, it's agony!!

I agree, and Im in no way saying the new colours are easier - I was just giving you an idea of how I now work it out, after the colour change.

Maybe I just find it easier to work out in my head, in such a short space of time, as I am younger and quicker in the mind, than of someone like you who is (probably) older and slower........

I look for the gloves. Lewis wears black and Nico, yellow. It takes a wise man to figure that out, the young whippersnappers have to rely on a T-BAR.

I'll give the gloves a try. It's getting it embedded in the brain, you see I've already forgotten which one is yellow
Ok I've just checked, Lewis is black, that should be easy to remember..... I have a way of remembereing

You could just remember the car numbers, the giant obvious unique clear numbers.
