I think Alonso shouldn't have won the championship. He's not the best driver and Renault have done nothing but been reliable and run low fuel loads to get him there.

If we had the old points system this would have never happened.

I really don't like Alonso, but he won fair and square.....I really hate AF and his fans.

A pole position he only had because he blocked his team-mate.

Nobody tells me yet where that rule is on the FIA regulation.

Article 116 B

b) If, in the opinion of the stewards, a driver deliberately stops on the circuit or impedes another driver in any way during the qualifying practice session his times will be cancelled. In this case, a team will not be able to appeal against the steward's decision.

So he got of lightly

Oh and BTW - you can thank me later

No it does not

b) If, in the opinion of the stewards, a driver deliberately stops on the circuit or impedes another driver in any way during the qualifying practice session his times will be cancelled. In this case, a team will not be able to appeal against the steward's decision.

Again read the part I underlined. It says nothing about being on the track

you just dont like it when you are shown to be talking crap do you?

I kind of understand where you're coming from, however under current regulations surrounding the sport 'monobrow' is the rightful World Champion. However, I do agree that the current points system is a sham - it should be race to win - coming second and getting eight points is overkill. :(

I think it should be 7 points for 2nd, but keep points for 7th and 8th as it is increasingly difficult to score points when you get the top 6 locked out by McLaren, Ferrari and BMW.

I kinda like that idea.

There used to be a 3 point gap between 1st and second in the pre-1991 scoring system when first got 9 points instead of 10. Don't want the winner to get more than 10 points because 10's a nice round number. :)

I think the winner should get exactly 11.357 points because 11.357's a nice non-round number :P
