Don't you just hate it when your team gives you a winning strategy?

This race wasn't such a mistake was it?

This thread is ridiculous. Every team cocks up now and then, that's Grand Prix racing!

wow sarcasm much :P

anyway....i was only stating what my opinion was on the matter...i have felt that for the last few races that Mclaren have sometimes made the wrong decisions when it comes to stratagies...but everyone has give me examples that go for and against what i think

At the end of the day im glad Mclaren proved me wrong today by winning at Canada (it was a shame what happend to Lewis though but thats just a part of the sport) like some of you guys quiet rightly pointed out...in this sport you have to gamble and they did.

My original comment wasnt aimed badly towards them im a huge F1 fan and ill always support Mclaren no matter what they decide i just wanted to share with people what i thought about the situation

ANYWAY is anyone else thrilled that Vettel DID NOT WIN!!! :D

McLaren do stand out as the team the cocks up a bit too much compared to other teams.

Whether under Ron or Martin the communication always seems to have gone out of the window sometimes.

Anyway true I am glad Vettel did not win because we actually want a close finish to the championship rather than it be over by Silverstone.

1. Would that be because they are always in the spotlight from their tool's? I mean Lewis can do no wrong and it is never his fault :hehe: .

I think Mclaren are just playing fast catch up to a team that was lightyears ahead of every one else. If Monaco wasnt redflagged with 6 laps to go then button would have at least pulled second to ferarri and ahead of a fading redbull. As the season progresses I think were starting to see a trend in redbull tires fading heavily at the end of the race. It was clearly evident in shanghai, monaco, and Canada. Mclaren are a great team and Im sure we'll see a tight finish in the WCC in the end with 13 races to Go!!!

:bs:
Monaco? SV had the same tires for 50+ laps!

Canada was generally viewed as the least favorable track for RB. I'm convinced that things will return to 'normal' again from now on unless the ban on blown diffusers has a bigger impact on one of the teams.

They lasted for like 56 laps im aware of. it doesn't matter though. the point Im making is that Mclaren are catching up in development and strategy to redbull.... IMO and if the race wasn't red-flagged which allowed vettel to change to fresh tires then buttons fresher tires before the redflag would have pushed pace on alonso and vettel that their tires wouldn't allow.... this was evident in Canada

Had Canada not had multiple safety car periods, I rather doubt JB would have finished on the same lap as Vettel.

That's the luck of the draw; Vettel got a stroke of luck in Monaco with the red flag and being able to change tyres as was Lewis Hamilton to be able to repair his wing end plates!

The man does have a point. BTW, what does Vettel mean? You always spell it that way, and I assume it isn't a compliment. Not that I care much about the kid, just curious.

it is getting rather old, and in my opinion, is quite disrespectful. It's one thing to make an occasional joke, but to consistently refer to a person as an alcohol-induced vomit is taking it a little too far.

Not to mention against forum rules...

* Personal insults, including derogatory names of F1 drivers.

Please be respectful of drivers even if you do not like them!

Where do you go when so and so (dont know who it is) calls Lewis Hambone, or do you just snigger and remain a spectator then?
