Once upon a time a few years ago. After a night on the spirits I decided to have a pint of ale to end the night on, on the way back to a friend's flat. Saw it again the next morning, never again!

I know quite a few women who will happily have a lager. The days of beer being a male tipple are long gone.

I have not tasted frothy cat urine, or any other kind of cat urine, so I am interested in how you arrive at this comparission.

Besides, it is all about personal choice and if your out on the lash knowing that when you're on your back, nearly passed out, screaming for Hugh, that you should then stick to shots for the rest of the night.

Well, I don't hang out with anyone that drinks pure alcohol, so it's ALL covered up taste somehow. So you like being technically right, great it still doesn't change a thing, it's accepted that unless you're mentally skewed and drinking perfume or rubbing alcohol, we're talking about alcohol in the context of something distilled or brewed. Broad finite statements like that, tend to get challenged round these parts if you hadn't noticed.

Youve missed the point aswell as WB, i apologise for that ive obviously not construed it properly.

Im saying its a man thing that men like to act like they like beer, or talk about how ale is better the beer and beer better then lager and lager better then everything, its just macho bullpoo if you ask me (nobody did but im an opinionated c*** so i said it anyway!)

Im saying i dont believe anyone likes the taste of alchohol, they do it for socialising or for getting drunk merry, how you can say some but not all, id love to know what else its for, that doesnt come under socialising and using it effectively as a drug (getting drunk/tipsy/merry)

And technical fallicies are what i enjoy laying into on here, you should know that by now, not to mention i love being challenged, makes my day. Theres nothing like a good argument to keep you informed and not ignorant.

But ignoring the technicalities, i still dont think people enjoy alchoholic beverages, like i said its a way of socialising, or getting off your face, i dont believe anyone on here that has pushed their Ale>lager>beer agenda believes a word of their own saying. Its just acting like men are expected to act like.

What im saying i guess is that when people say they like whatever it is they like, they like it for the reason that they can socialise and get plastered with it, NOT for its taste, therefore when people argue over which one is better, and stating the one is delicious wheras another isnt is poppycock.

I feel its a status quo that people grow up and dont think to challenge, or actually ask, does anyone here actually like the carlsberg we're all drinking, to which the resounding answer would be "no", only when you say it, the resounding answer is "p***y".

I'll stick to large amounts of pure alcohol. Corpses and cat urine are not yet socially acceptable.

I usually have a beer with my tea and sometimes another of an evening. I also live on my own - how unsocial can I get? I drink beer as I like the taste of it. I know when to say stop and I have not gotten drunk for many a year, due to not being too fond of hangovers. Besides, I can still have a good time of a night out without being drunk.
