I don't agree, but only time will tell. I can't see Lewis going over to McLarens fiercest rival and racing for them, when McLaren is the one which held his hand from childhood till delivering him the most prestigious trophy a racing driver can achieve.

If he ends up doing that, well it will be the biggest shock for me ever since McLaren ditched DC for JPM. :hehe:

But that was a great move by McLaren! They got a sensational driver.

I think if they kept DC McLaren would have at least come away with the constructors title in 05. JPM made too many point costing mistakes and wasn't there to back up Kimi when he had all his failures.

I can remember DC making some costly errors, like putting it in the pit wall and spinning on the formation lap. And he never took the fight to Schumacher the way montoya did. (I guess a lot of that was with williams)

Not to make this a JPM VS DC thread, but DC was at least a fantastic no.2 driver to have. JPM's best asset was overtaking MS, and most of them were MS using his nugget and not making it too hard. JPMs 'let me go or crash' mentality' might've been spectacular but wasn't very points-friendly.

Lewis, in my mind, always had two titles to his name anyway. He threw 2007 away, I think he must have not been able to believe he was in that position and was too excited to concentrate on the racing. Even the feat of out performing Alonso in his first season is equivilant to taking the title, IMHAO. Kimi Raikonen was just lucky to be in the right place at the right time to benefit from Lewis's misfortune.

yup, 2007 was so many unfortunate events coming together at once. it's just devastating to watch what happened to him.

But no point to look there, he has a lot to look forward!
