Ive always said if i was in F1 i wouldnt care if they paid me peanuts, for racing with a rubbish car, for gods sake im racing in F1 as my job and theres billions, yes that it at least 1/6 people, that get paid less then peanuts for doing the worst of worst jobs, webber hasnt actually complained, neither have any of the drivers ive heard, but if they are even contemplating thinking about complaining over a million pound payrise theyre being refused, lost all support from me.

BTW, you say that because you're not a top F1 driver, if you were one of the handful, you'd complain as well.

No, i most definitely would not.

Well get yourself in that situation, where you're paying them and then a driver by the name of FRAFPEE comes along and is no better than you (in your opinion) yet he's getting paid a few million. Human nature is human nature, not saying that *you* would, but I am saying that would make you the exception and not the rule.

I couldnt care care if they paid him in solid gold and gave me his s*it for wages. I really couldnt, as long as they give me enough to live (securely ie, so that i dont have nutters and super fans harassing my door) , i wouldnt make a squeak. not a squeak. Pay me what you like, spend the rest on this car of ours.

This might be your mentality right now, though its because you dont belong in that 'world' right now. If you did, everything changes. Money isn't just money anymore, its prestige or honour. If your peers (fellow drivers) average is way higher than yours, you aren't going to be happy are you? Especially if you're performing. Let's just say you get USD100000 a year...that's way more than you need to survive. While your teammate is being paid millions.

Everyone's mentality changes according to their surroundings. Look at poor old Lindsay Lohan. From an average home life, she turned up on screen as an innocent girl with freckles in parent trap.

As fame and cash poured in, this monster emerged and she's now a lost and ugly soul.

I think the driver salaries were posted up here before for 2010 and Alonso was getting something silly like 25mil while Massa was getting 14mil.

14m is far too much for Massa's skill, that's payment for playing second fiddle peacefully.

14m is far too much for Massa's skill, that's payment for playing second fiddle peacefully.

And 25 mil is far too much for Alonso...who it appears also needs to have a sidekick paid off.
