I didn't say forget handheld and I wouldn't mind a decent iPhone version. I just rather development focused on more powerful platforms is all.

Well this is why they should have more than one team. That being said, NGP isn't out for so long the PS3/Xbox 360/Games for Windows version will probably already be out by the time they start development for that platform - assuming it's not just a straight port of the PS3 version anyway.

Agree, I think that the hand held versions are of poor quallity and also the Wii version is a massive FAIL. I understand that you [JB] want to play handheld but what we are sayign is the CORE versions IE Xbox + PS3 are the more domiannt version with powerful engines powering the games. Which is a more dominant market, The figures would surely show better sales in Xbox & PS3 rather than handheld. Wouldn't you prefer more for your cash if they could ditch handheld and spend more time on the CONSOLE version? If it mean;t better graphics, better feel & realisticness.

Well when you look at these sales figures the potential for massive sales are actually in the Wii and DS.



And then the overall sales:

F1 2009 (Wii) - 0.81m
F1 2009 (PSP) - 0.36m

F1 2010 (X360) - 0.70m
F1 2010 (PS3) - 0.98m
F1 2010 (PC) - 0.02m

It is pretty clear to see where the money well spent is, even if you make a simpler version of the game that doesn't cost as much to build.

I finished my degree in Games Development 2 years ago, so let's not start getting ahead of ourselves VB. I understand you want the fully blown experience but the business end of things always comes first and what the consumer wants.

True. But they are just not giving out the same performance as the Console version.
