Not. Senna, Vettel doesn't talk of himself in the same breath as senna! he's surpassed senna! Sennas not got four!

But you put Inoue up there. Ok. I'll bear that fact in mind when viewing your opinions and choices. :hehe:

He's the only driver to ever take the medical car head on! I mean what more do you need?!?

Mark Hughes here giving a little more insight into how Vettel gains his advantage. He praises Vettel for recognising how to go faster in the Newey car with the blown exhaust. Explains how he does it and why he goes faster than webber. Next year he won't have this advantage, Hughes muses on whether he will find another one.

Well, MH provides what must be for the other drivers a demoralizing account of SV's skills and character. Maybe, just maybe, he IS being underestimated and his greatness is not being recognized enough and done justice...

I doubt the other drivers are demoralised, I imagine they'll be thinking just put me in that car!!

In this article Hughes is looking purely at the skills of Vettel. He has also in the past analysed the skills of Alonso and Hamilton and they are also formidable!

Next year will be interesting indeed.

Really? FA sounded rather dejected: Sour grapes

It's true, Webber had been better start of the season. Then they cahnged the car and Webber dropped back

Didn't Senna get beaten by Martin Brundle in lower formulas

Just read that article and to be honest, I don't believe Alonso sounded dejected!
He sounds like he's counting his blessings! And he recognizes that he and Ferrari
have their work cut out for them!!

More than anything, he sounds like he's digging in his heels because he's ready!!

Not sure about that. IIRC the true greats never got beaten by teammates over a full year except odd isolated years, and then only by teammates who had or went on to win WDCs

Thinking of Lewis, Alonso, Lauda, Senna, Prost. (MS got beaten by Irvine one year so I cant put him in)

But you're excluding...

And we all know he's a true great, he said so himself.

Alonso's words could be substituted for any top driver - people want me, I work hard and so does the team.
The repect v championships is a bit silly though - they're not mutually exclusive. You can't downplay the importance of being a WDC, however hollow.

If you have come second three times, I think you as well should be regarded as a great driver. Especially 2012
