Didnt I just agree with you that Felippe moved up the same amount of places as lewis???? Even if he did follow lewis through the first difficult part, he still did it.

That was the difficult part ??

Well yes. making up about 10 places in the first straight was probably pretty tricky.

From that post I deduce you didnt watch the race ?

Yes I watched the race. He was up to what? 10th?? by half a lap in? then proceeded up to 2nd (felipe didnt get that high) Then after his stop came back to 6th. Why did you think I hadnt seen the race??

Big deal passing such F1 stalwarts as Virgin and Lotus :wink:

He also passed Jenson and Alonso but they are stalwarts, right?

Burn baby burn,i know it hurts. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

FA had no clutch - doh. :sheep:

If you don't like Hamilton avoid my post, I may be gushing a bit :wink:

He was AMAZING today, from 20th to 6th! Lots and lots of overtaking, especially in the first half of the race, he was definitely the most exciting driver on the track. We saw a bit of it in Australia but it was even better today, just a shame he couldn't get past Sutil near the end. :thumbup: I was expecting something similar from Alonos but he had a dodgy gear shift to deal with, still did a great job though, until that rather unfortunate battle with Button.

I'm glad Vettel won ahead of Webber, if it had to be a Redbull then that's the order I'd have picked. Webber needs to be a bit more alert on the start in future.

Hispania :cloud9: They finished.

LH 20th -> 6th +14
FM 21st -> 7th +14

I didn't even realise he'd made up 14 places too, I usually pay a bit more attention to the McLaren drivers. Fair point though, Massa was also very good today. :thumbup:

FIRST TWO POINTS OF HIS CAREER! BRILLIANT RACE! BRILLIANT OVERTAKING! JAIME ALGUERSUARI IS A CHAMPION IN THE MAKING!

Now that I've got that out of my system :D , moving on to comment the race. Well done by Vettel - this would be his third win and a huge advantage by now. And this time he wasn't on pole :P Also great job from Hamilton, he was the only one on the late group (Ferrari-McLaren) that managed to break through the field; the others relied on pit stops to get past the Toro Rossos, Hulkenberg, Petrov, etc. Also, I had no idea Alonso had problems the whole race until I got here, so that was a hell of a great race that went unnoticed. Sutil held his game together and finally finished a race (remember that this year his abandons weren't his fault), and Kubica and Rosberg did a great job too. In the middle of all this, somehow Massa is now the championship leader, so congratulations ^^ good boy, well done :P

One more thing: why did the cameramen focus for so long on Lewis holding his jewels before entering the car?! :hehe:

Lol, like we don't all watch out for our favourites. I do think Hamilton got an awful lot of tv coverage on the track today though, which does help aid my memory a bit. I don't remember many Massa passes :confused:

Strategy helped Massa largely. But he got past Button at the right moment and the Toro Rosso on track.

Red Bull must be pissed off. Their cars hardly got any coverage today. :hehe:

The reason Ham got more coverage was because he overtook people.

Massa just waited till everyone pitted and did a few fast laps.

If they made pitstops optional Lewis might of been 3rd Massa would of still been behind Algy

I was thinking the same, we hardly saw the front runners at all. The highest placed driver I remember being focussed on was Sutil and that was during his battle with Hamilton.

Now I know using a good strategy to gain places has exactly the same result as overtaking manoeuvres but I find Hamilton's method far more impressive. Alonso could, and probably would, have done the same if it wasn't for his car issues.

I don't remember seeing a lot of Kubica after the first half of the race but, judging by the number of exclamation marks you've used, I'll assume I missed a lot. I spend far too much time watching livetiming and posting in the chatroom. :whistling:
