Would we want the guy to be a live vegetable for the rest of his life? Either that, or he recuperates fully. If he's going to be forced to remain alive and be a vegetable, personally I'd rather he moves on to the next realm, it's a way way better option for him and his family.

Except for the fact he's not a veggie. It's not like he's brain dead. He is still very much alive and just in a coma.

The risk of turning into a veggie increases with time. Normally takes about 2-3 weeks for someone to get out of an induced coma successfully. Successfully meaning, not braindead or no major effect on the brain. MS has now been in a coma for more than 2 months. All we keep hearing is "he's in the waking up phase". How long will it take to wake up then, it's been 2 weeks since they've been saying it's time to get him conscious.

...How long will it take to wake up...

From what I've read and heard, there is no general consensus with how long is too long.
Each expert has their own opinion and their own theories about what is happening in Schumi's case.
Any time they do offer their "professional" opinion, there is usually a preface whereby the Doctor emphasizes that they do not know all the particulars about Schumi's case.

Not being a doctor myself, it's been difficult to keep up with all the different comments being quoted, especially when they are out of context (as in the case of headlines) and from people without first hand knowledge!

Hard as it might be, it's probably best to wait for "official" word from Schumi's family, his doctors and/or his management team!

Yes I was just reading that. Let's hope!
