The lower pressure could actually help Hamilton.

That's a fairly good point actually. When he's p!ssed off, or not altogether comfortable, or too much in the spotlight, he really DOES show it. He's rarely looked happy at all over the past two years.

Ah here we go, the weekly trolling/flaming session.

This is an F1 topic and I am an F1 fan. You don't need to be a fan of a driver or a team to have an opinion on them. I would have thought that this would have been blatently obvious.

I never troll  And I don't say you can't express your opinion ,I was just implying that the thread goes off topic and usually you contribute this. That's not a bad thing, indeed sometimes good,I was just saying it in a way of joking

What I read somewhere, and I can't remember where.....sorry. Was an interview with Lewis and a Spanish newspaper. Can't remember word for word, but the gist was...Lewis saying he'd like Alonso to win, felt he deserved it more. Spanish man went on to say that Spanish fans now had a real respect for Lewis. Lewis was completely made up! Said something like 'really, that means so much to me!' Lewis wants to be liked, and I think it's really sweet, but it's also a vulnerability, because others know this and use it against him. Snakey sort of people!

Yeah saw this...yet another example of being a softie. He needs to quit being this emo bag sometimes and just care about what he thinks of himself. Vettel and Alonso have an edge over him in this area I think.

But Lewis did bring the only title to McLaren in the last 13 years so it's all good, right Hammer? ;)

It could be down to the fact that Lewis was talking to the Spanish papers, Would he of said the same if it was a german newspaper?

I just think he wants people to like him, and the Spanish fans have been particularly harsh and he wasn't comfortable with that. I don't think German fans have an issue with him, but if they did then yes his reaction would probably me similar. I don't think he said it for effect, because its not a good image is it. He'd be better giving the proverbial(is that the right word?) two fingers. But that's not him.

That's one I use only against the 'McLaren' fans who call Lewis a traitor. It's really not a big deal since a driver of Lewis' calibre would've brought home 3 by now if his team weren't consecutive World Champions in f**king up.
