When he said it's built by parts from the future and it's got this and that and all this is sitting on.....4 Pirelli tyres, I started laughing...and surprised Clarkson wasn't laughing along with me. :hehe:

But beautiful car. Much better than the new garbage Ferrari has been coming out with at least, and makes the new Lambos look 'messy' with their crazy bodywork....and that soundtrack at the last 3-4 minutes, damn!

Did anyone else cringe at the special tyres by pirelli in the top gear review

I did !

You can only hope McLaren haven't asked Pirelli to make tyres that only do 1000km

Well that's because making tires is the one thing great British engineering has apparently overlooked. I can't think of a single British tire brand. :hehe:

To be fair Clarkson said the tyres were specially designed by Pirelli for the car. They made tyres Ron wanted for his car. Now if they followed his instructions as well as they followed bernies for making mickey mouse tyres, then perversely Clarkson is right to see this as a big plus :hehe:

Also I believe the P1 has already seen off the La Ferrari, and the Porsche 918 is the only real challenger

Anyone can make tyres, how many can make the greatest and most advanced car in ze world? :hehe:

I really think with this car Ron has done something amazing. A real alternative to the all singing all dancing Italian hairdresser specials and the over engineered and bland Germans
A perfect blend of the flair of the Italians and the engineering of the Germans - A whole brand new niche, much better than the same concept with the Italian/German Lambos

I actually love the concept of the wing in the back. So often we see this done but there's a lot of aesthetics going on which I'm sure adds complexity and weight. This attempt seems like a genuine attempt at a singularly focused goal. The wing mechanism looks like the landing gear of an aircraft, where going fast just as important as remaining light and there is no beauty that sacrifices function.

Frankly if the duel between the P1 and the 918 around the TG track goes in favor of the P1 there would be no shame in that.

The P1 isn't over-engineered, it's been simplified to it's bear basics then built up on that; and that is the beauty of it.

No way, you want to see the definition of over aero, pls google Lamborghini Veneno.

Did the lambo designers just discover the bat mobile when designing that?
