Good morning everyone, today is Super Sunday, when the most watched sporting event in our country takes place. The Seattle Seahawks vs. The Denver Broncos. The best statistical offense there's ever been in the sport going up against one of the top ten defenses there's ever been in the sport.
Me? I'll be watching it because they tend to play the most talked about, often the best commercials we'll get to see all year. That FIAT Abarth commercial with the goddess speaking Italiano, and the scorpion tattoo on the base of her neck, that aired during the Super Bowl.
Someone like our fearless leader
DD will be watching because it's an inexplicable passion and there's no better place to videotape big bulging men wearing tight pants.
Geet will probably be watching because he's got $250 riding on the Seahaws to win.
Lastly, I'll leave you with some stats, the Byrne Medowlands Arena is located in beautiful East Rutherford NJ where the body of Jimmy Hoffa is rumored to be buried, right at the 50 yard line.
Denver and Seattle are the largest cities (coincidence?) of the only two states that have legalized the use of recreational marijuana. The stadium is about 3 miles away as the crow flies from where the fabled NJ GP is to be held some day. The Governor of NJ is currently under investigation for embezzling hurricane Sandy relief money, and using that same money as political leverage to get projects awarded or moved forward to various corporate interests that he or his staff or family have personal interests in. All of this coming into focus after he ordered two out of the three traffic lanes of the GWB from Fort Lee NJ shut down in order to prove a political point against those who would cross him.
I want to personally welcome you to Superbowl Sunday.
