Well I'm sorry that you cannot realize or fathom that a person can support a number of teams aswell as drivers. I hate to bring up the age thing but I have been supporting both McLaren and Ferrari since before you were born yet you feel compelled to tell me that it is not possible to support two teams and imho that is one of the biggest downfalls of F1 fans today and you are perpetuating that blasphemy.

Yes, I don't see anything wrong with it, though some people completely disagree, and there is nothing wrong that. I understand that there is a deep rivalry between the two teams but I don't understand why one cannot appreciate both. Not many people agree with Jensonb's beliefs, but at the same time, it's understandable, because both teams are successful.

I hate to bring up the age thing but I have been supporting both McLaren and Ferrari since before you were born yet you feel compelled to tell me that it is not possible to support two teams and imho that is one of the biggest downfalls of F1 fans today and you are perpetuating that blasphemy.

I do realise that you are somewhat older than me,funny enough I do like several teams though Mclaren gets my main support, as well as liking several drivers.
Its amazing how others also suggested that it would be impossible to support both them teams and yet I am the one who is causing the 'blasphemy'

Next time I'll remember to put IMO at the beginning to stop people crying me a river

Right - I feel the same way. I certainly don't consider myself a fan of Ferrari, but like you said, Felipe just seems like a nice person. However, all I hear about in regards to Fernando's personality is how arrogant and rude he is.

Right - I feel the same way. I certainly don't consider myself a fan of Ferrari, but like you said, Felipe just seems like a nice person. However, all I hear about in regards to Fernando's personality is how arrogant and rude he is.

But he's an amazing driver. I can't help but admire Alonso's talent despite what I hear about his personality, his squabbles with Hamilton/McLaren and his association with Ferrari (a team I love to hate). He's just that good.

It wasn't nice of Alonso to shop Mclaren to the FIA but Ham was being a little muppet in his first year at Mclaren towards the team like when he told Ron to "swivel" he admits himself he manged it badly.

Alonso and Hamilton are the two best drivers in the sport by some margin i respect Alonso's talent, but he drives for the red team. You can't support him.

You guys need to get over this rivalry thing. It wouldbe pretty hypocritical of me to stop supporting Ferrari just because I support McLaren now too. After all, I supported Ferrari long before I could even put up with McLaren. It's not Hamilton or Alonso, Button or Massa, Woking or Maranello. There are no villains between these teams. Only drivers I have an active dislike for are Rosberg and Vettel, only team I actively dislike is Toro Rosso (But just the management - I do kinda wish Force India had stayed Spyker though). Call it blasphemy if you will, but Dogma is the purest form of lunacy.

It's just a bit of fun, I love a good rivalry between teams, whether that's Ferrari/McLaren, Federer/Nadal, Red Sox/Yankees, Celtic/Rangers, Oxford/Cambridge etc. It just adds to the drama for me. Nobody actually demands that you pick a side, it's just a general convention among F1 fans.

i don't Dislike Ferrari, i just don't support them.

Put it this way, if Alonso's and Massa's engines had blown up i wouldn't of been sad.

Like Amanda says its just abit of fun its not a hatread of another team its just Freindly rivialy.

Its not a new thing either its been going on since the late 70s early or 80s
