Cmon man Jense is too slow! end of
He's becoming Heiki 2.0 he's also becoming a liability.

I'm complaining because I'm a fan,and watching Macca getting their butts handed to them is not fun,but having JB just mess up race after race to no help at the expense of his Team

Are you seriously comparing Jenson to Heiki? :banghead: Where would the internet be without hyperbole

Today was a great race, action-wise. Lots of overtaking, and action,

However, as a McLaren fan, I came away frustrated. A few balls-ups today. Hamilton running wide after trying to pass Webber, Jenson and Lewis fighting too much among themselves rather than with others, slow pit stops and putting Jenson on the wrong strategy. Not good enough. :banghead:

All of that allowed RBR an easy 1-2 and Ferrari a lucky podium

Didn't jenson learn from what happened to vettel in the last race?

Having 1 less pit stop doesn't work! The pirellis degrade way too fast....

Although, maybe jenson would've lost the same amount of positions if he went for another stop...

I'm think it was a little more than luck that put Alonso on the podium. He was the only one who could keep up with the Red Bulls on pace. Yes Mclaren had their strategic and pit stuff ups but they didn't appear to have enough speed to contest the Red Bulls anyway. 4th was pretty much the best they could have gotten, Button might have been able to salvage a 5th if he was on the same strategy as everyone else. Hell they'd be even further down if Massa hadn't had an even worse time in the pits than McLaren.

does anyone think Perez's 2-stop in Australia is still giving some teams the false impression that you can baby the Pirellis enough to forego one pitstop?

The reason I say this is because it seems like before each of the last three races, most teams predicted a pit strategy with one less stop than what actually turns out to be successful in the race. Like this weekend in Turkey, nearly everyone thought a 3-stop would be just fine. And in China, most were trying to do a 2-stop. It's time to bite the bullet fellas.

You crack me up

I know 8-)
but seriously Jenson is becoming a thorn in everyone's arse. Last race he screwed Lewis too you know but it was no biggie coz Ham won

WHich is the reason I find Jenson annoying, he's a Journeyman who still thinks he can match Lewis consistently. But I do think saying Jenson screwed Lewis' race is a bit harsh. Sometimes Lewis needs to back off and play the long game. He tried too hard too early on Mark, and that's what cost him a podium this time around.

On the other hand, you can understand his frustration when the cars ahead are so damn quick and there's very few chances to overhaul them. Better to have a driver who tries hard rather than one taking a sunday's drive just thinking of points.

Just one thing:

Kobayashi has balls of steel. That kid is gonna be a champ. I'm eager to see him in a top-flight team. Come on, McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull...Pick this guy up.

Fixed.

Lewis will have his hands full if ever he ends up behind him in a race. Which will make him not want to make rash decisions in the first place!

I think anyone who qualifies in the top 10 has to do more stops, they simply don't have enough sets of new tyres, and most of their news will be the slower hards anyway.

Everyone who gained significantly from less stops has started down the grid and has a big stack on nice new tyres

You can see I have my priorities straight, I mentioned McLaren first. :D

Jenson has shown that he can match Lewis in lap time on a number or occasions but I can agree; if Lewis was always on a four stopper; then it would have made sense for Jenson to allow Lewis pass in the early stages instead of eating up tyres for both drivers, maybe Jenson would have ended up behind Lewis or even ahead if his strategy had worked for him, it didn't and Jenson ended up sixth place; we can't compare the two drivers today as they were on completely different strategies. I can even accept that Lewis is the faster driver; but the big difference is these Pirelli tyres; no matter how careful you drive, they degrade at a constant rate due to mileage so a smoother driving style is not rewarded! As for those saying that Jenson is screwing other drivers (chiefly Lewis), what the hell are you talking about? Jenson is there to race; he is a racing driver; if he isn't there to race; he should just stay at home in his cushy Monaco apartment!

 Perhaps you would have approved of the team sending an informative radio message - "Jenson, Lewis is faster than you, do you understand"

we can't compare the two drivers today as they were on completely different strategies.

I beg to differ. On their first stint they were on exactly the same tyres, same fuel, same track in the same car setup how they each wanted. Blind Freddy could see that Lewis was faster and was being held up.

I can even accept that Lewis is the faster driver

Yesterday - yes.

Yesterday Jenson's actions were clearly only for himself. If he had acted in a more selfless way, and put the team (who pays his wages) ahead of his personal ambitions, he would have let Lewis pass IMO.

I believe Jenson once stated he would rather quit racing than live with team orders, legal or not. At the time, all of the McLaren fans were FIRMLY behind that statement. Don't tell me they have changed their moral beliefs in a few months time?
