Anything Lewis can do Alonso can do better.

I don't know, since Nando's been in those red overalls Lewis has definitely been much better at finishing the season closer to the HRT's and Marrusia drivers :hehe:

And yet we need to go back fewer years to find a WDC for Lewis than we need to for the "Nando".

According to omni course it sounds like part of the problem with the MP4-29A failing it's crash test is that Tim Goss has been spending too much time in Japan consulting with Honda about the 2015 integration. So it's been left to the new guy from Sauber Matt Morris
I remember mentioning when Mclaren employed him that Sauber seemed to massively improve afterwards
Omni also say there is no sponsor and that the car will carry Jenson and Kevin stickers to fill the gaps.

Apparently McLaren have been hiring laminators in a hurry. Laminators would be the ones to layer the carbon fibre sheets that make the chassis. This could point to the structure failing crash tests because it's not strong enough. Now if that's the case then strengthening it will affect the whole design and of course add more weight and volume

I think we can forget all about McLaren at Jerez

Or they have to build new tubs quick as they are the items that take the longest to make

I also read that they are going to run in orange

At this stage I think they'd run in pink if it will help them pass crash tests.

Well not to laugh at McLaren's plight, but I can't help picture Jenson in a pink car and Ron is a pink warm-up jacket. :hehe:

Now I think the pink jacket alongside Jenson is one role Ron might hand to Whitmarsh!! :hehe:

Being partial to orange, it's too bad they didn't go with it.

probably because 2015 will see a whole new rebranding with Honda colours prominent, Ron thinking logically and not romantically, Whitmarsh wanted orange, Ron is probably thinking more of a low key interim year of rebuilding.

why have the classic orange on a car without sponsors and on a car thats not likely to cover the teams history and tradition with glory

Would be a shame to have the teams orange associated with a disaster whitmarsh year like 2013

Maybe Honda is going to be their title sponsor, is there anything stopping that from starting this year? I very much doubt that a legal obligation in the Merc contracts is that they cannot have another car manufacturer on the side of the car (Another F1 engine manufacturer yes, but currently Honda are not an F1 engine manufacturer)

Honda McLaren Mercedes

That would go down well in Tokyo. Nah give it up, there is no title sponsor this year, you thought they would change their FB page twice, surely even you dont think they are gonna change all heir merchandising and waste all those 49.99 shirts they have in stock?

it aint rocket science, repeat after me 'there is no title sponsor for 2014'

There may very well be a contract stipulation with Mercedes, but even if that's the case, would Honda want to pay to have their name on the 2014 car if McLaren has a season like last year?

I believe that Mclaren's issues getting their tub to pass the crash tests may have something to do with the fact that they're trying to create a chassis for next year and compromising now, I hope that's not the case.

It could be like why Toro Rosso don't have VW on the cars
