If someone unfollows Jenson Button on twitter is it called unbuttoning?

I saw a tweet from him once going "Woke up this morning feeling delicate". I was like, wtf?

BTW I don't follow him.... espnf1 website posts up random tweets from drivers.

Yeahhhhh right... :rofl::wink::wink:

I have myownalias on my account, you could ask him to check me anytime. :hehe:

I think

Yeah, he used to be a Hamilton fan when Hamilton won his Championship, and then switched to Vettel when Vettel started winning Championships.

When Lewis starts winning again with Mercedes, you'll see him support Lewis again.

Actually I started supporting Vettel after Monaco 2008 and in the lead up to Brazil 2008. Hamilton was my second favourite driver, for another year or so, but then I got sick of his attitude as Andrew said. And the last couple of years I'm just fed up with him.

I support Vettel because of his talent, combined with his mechanical ability and character.

Surely I am not obligated to blindly follow another driver for the rest of their career? I happily criticize Vettel also for his mistakes. But the difference is that he learns from his mistakes as per 2010.

At the time I started supporting Vettel, Red Bull were not a winning car. I almost switched off from the sport after the farce that was the Belgian Grand Prix in 2008, but Vettel winning the next round made me fall in love with the sport all over again.

It takes more than just pace to be a champion. A driver's intelligence and understanding of the whole race picture, mechanical aptitude, and overall personality are all part of being a successful F1 driver.

Yeah yeah....just tell me any mistakes Hamilton has done in his driving this season, then we are talking. I really couldn't care less if Vettel donated to the Care For Children Foundation or if he kisses babies in front of cameras while he's pitting.

"This isn't an ethics sport, it's about talent and skill, so your post is both ignorant and useless."

Hmm. I actually used to drive GP cars in the days when the engines were in front and if you crashed you probably died. I was a friend of Louis Chiron, Jim Clark and others so I feel I have a right to my opinion.

It is all so easy to pontificate about Grand Prix racing from your armchair.

Dont worry about him. The only reason he hasn't been banned is because two mods symphatize with his cause and the others probably just laugh at his nonsense.

But there is gonna be a time when the mods simply quit ignoring his bs. That day will be a good day for Forumula1.com

He has been driving very well this season... Finding a driving mistake would be really hard... But I think you can count his setup issues at Suzuka as a driving mistake. My issue with him over the past couple of years is his professionalism.

You speak as if you know a lot about my background. I used to race karts competitively during my early teens as well, but that doesn't make me an expert on F1 and how racing is done there.

I was responding to how you felt another poster's opinion was ignorant when it wasn't, it's his right to have an opinion too I reckon?

Looks like the crybaby has resorted to indirect insults. I'm sure pilotfriend could argue for himself...he seems to be a hell of a lot more capable than you mate.

Lewis Hamilton says he is "determined to fight" for victory in the Korean Grand Prix after finishing fifth in Japan.

With Fernando Alonso retiring Hamilton had an opportunity to significantly close the gap to the championship leader at Suzuka, but an understeering car in qualifying and the first half of the race restricted him to fifth place. By the end of the race, however, Hamilton said he was pleased with his car and that has given him confidence that better pace will translate to Korea.

"The car that I ended the race with in Japan felt great - and I'm confident that we'll kick off the race weekend in Korea with a strong package," Hamilton said. "I put the car on pole there last year. That was a very significant moment for me - I'd been trying so hard all year to get a pole, and it took everything I had to get the best out of the car. It was a huge effort, and a bit overwhelming at the time."

Hamilton finished second last year despite a front wing issue, and having also been second in 2010 he believes the key to going one better is having a clean weekend.

"In the race, unfortunately, we just didn't have the pace to stay with Sebastian [Vettel] in the Red Bull - he was able to dive past me and pull away. I still managed to finish second, though: it was an unbelievably tough race - I had a handling problem because the front wing was clogged up with tyre debris, so I had to try everything to keep Mark [Webber] behind me.

"I think we've had the potential to win both Korean Grands Prix in the past, but I've never had a race weekend there on which everything has gone quite right for me. We've got momentum on our side once again, so I head to Korea determined to fight for victory."

I'm still wondering how the car could suddenly hit form during a race when the first 20 laps it was suffering with loads of understeer. No conspiracy...but technically, is this possible? :scratchchin:

Well, very possible, although the circumstances can make it happen in strange ways. I watched Sunday's race at 50% (ie hungover and half asleep) so am slightly unfamiliar with certain details. It is possible the mechanics added a bit of front wing at a pitstop. But the wording suggests this didn't happen. So the next most likely cause is, as says there, tyre debris (marbles) attaching themselves to aero parts, limiting effectiveness and changing balance depending on which parts are affected. But this is usually the front wing, which would have caused more understeer. Otherwise, damage at the rear surely. But i don't remember how that might have happened. So let me see...

...ok, did some digging. Seems Hamilton started on softs and switched to hards from lap 17 onwards. I would expect that his car worked much more effectively on this compound, quite simply. The other explaination is the fuel load coming down could have helped, but i think a lot of it was the tyres given the qualifying problem. That's what i think anyway. But his laptimes were still some way off Button and the other surrounding cars towards the end of the race, so something doesn't add up to me personally.

According to something I read, McLaren said there was some debris picked up in lap one that logged in his car. Given the set up he was never going to go anywhere but it explains the thud and then everything was better comment from Lewis a day or two ago.

Lewis was on pole last year, and Vettel won so whomever can set up right for this weekend will take it but I'm thinking a Red Bull McLaren slugfest for the podium in Korea.

I forgot about the thud. But that still doesn't explain the lack of pace in qualifying really. :scratchchin:

This have gotten a little droney here of late, here's a reminder of our Forum Guidelines so feel free to read them again. We as moderators do not play favorites when it comes time to whack someone with a big stick, so the next time a little tanrum like the one above takes place, those involved will be spending a GP weekend or two alone.
