I was more impressed with Hulkenberg keeping Alonso and Hamilton behind him for as many laps as he did. I wouldnt say Alonso's overtake of his was special considering how long it took. And well Hamilton let him through yet again due to an error. Text book? No, Beautiful? No. Alonso yes.

Agreed. He really kept a cool head, despite the pressure and knowing that if he tangled with them, it would be frowned upon considering they're the title contenders and he is the rookie. Very nice to see him, and Williams, fighting up there. Also nice to see them ahead of Force India, even if it is only by a point. Hopefully this is the start of their return to the front. I don't expect to see them winning races next year, but podiums would definitely be nice. :)

Ha! bitter salt.

It took Alonso a bit longer to overtake Hulkenberg because he had to deal with Hamilton and then Hulk. Also, because Alonso is going for the championship and had a lot to lose and the Hulk didnt.

Hamilton LET HIM THROUGH?? again with this? ha just like he let him trhough in Korea. No way. This is exactly what Alonso wanted Jenson to do Monza, but Jenson didnt make a mistake. Jenson is much more poised and that's why he never makes mistakes. Alonso has done 3 pshych moves on Lewis already (that i remember), at Q in Singapore... remember he was all over him before the flying lap... hehe that was excellent. And then the 2 last races, typical psych moves. Then the move on Hulkenberg was simply back to basics. You dont see this often in F1 anymore as overtaking has become a bit more like how Kobayashi made all the passes in Suzuka. He made them, but they were sketchy. Not to take away from Kobayashi, but the Hulkenberg pass was just beautiful.

Will Alonso win the WDC? as amazing as he's been driving and despite him leading... it does look difficult. Splitting the Red B ulls.... not an easy task.

It was so funny when Webber pinched Alonso on the podium ceremony... Webber was prob angry at not getting the win, but he still managed the split second of witty humour/sarcasm to pinch Alonso.

i partly agree with that, they both raise their games when their close to each other, but i think in yesterdays case, it was because lewis was suffering from a lack of grip and that stage and alonso had the faster car too going down into turn 4

Partly?! You should know better

Yes Hamilton was lacking grip and went wide. Thus let him through.

More like: Hamilton couldn't get enough grip; made a mistake, went wide and Alonso did have enough to get through.
VERY different.

thats what i said, made a mistake letting Alonso through...

But he didnt 'let' him through. It was not a choice. He made a mistake AND Alonso got through.

 thats how we say it in English. He made a mistake which let Alonso through. why are you arguing over such petty thing such as wording?

Proper terminology or grammar of ones meaning seem's to be the flavor of the month bud :irked: !

As far as my post was concerned I was just 'splashing holly water' so to speak. It really gets rediculous here sometimes even with long-term members, myself included  , so words must be chosen that hopefully do not reignite the flames and if thats does not work I'll just start shooting :hehe: .
