ya you right ... my thinking is - dont tell me that kers is worth 2 tenths if it works.... rather tell me what you stand to lose if you DONT have that 40 kilos extra weight in the car. THAT should be worth even more considering you dont have to carry the weight around with you. picking up speed faster - less weight under braking - maybe less tyre wear becoz of lighter weight - all that type a s***....

I totally believe that Ferrari are making the right decision it is quite true that to score points you need to finish the race and the Ferrari KERS is unreliable.
That extra 2 tenths was after the penalty for the weight it is something like 5 tenths faster from KERS and 3 tenths lost because of the weight I would also say it doesn't make the cars any heavier they just have less movable ballast to play around with.

The truth is, to score points you got to finish the race first. It's deffinetly worth dropping 2 tenths if it means you finish more races.
Ferrari rushed things this year. I was actually a bit spectal whenever they rolled out their car so early after talking about all the probelms they were having.

I'm actually interested to see this weekend how the relative performances are of Kubica and Ferrari. Logical says Kubica should be faster, but I think KERS is less of an advantage than the teams are letting on.

Also, supersoft tyres for china :hehe: They fell to pieces in Melbourne after 8 laps, china is much harder on tyres. They're gonna last about 5 laps. Expect everyone to fuel heavy, and to go 5 laps near the end on the super soft.

Actually, I heard that Ferrari is only nixing the KERS motor in Kimi's car. Batteries will be left in place to power a dual stage cooler stocked with Magnums and icy Coca-Cola :hehe:

Haha, I'm sure Kimi would feel much more comfortable making a turn while drinking a nice can of Coca Cola. He needs one of their beer helmets or whatever under his helmet filled with Coke and ice cream.

Well, his first choice was Bourbon, but schumi said no go :hehe:

Have we had any predictions for the weekend yet? I think RB will get a win.

I hope he does. He's finished all of the races here in China, and won one of them. It's crucial for his challenge that he wins this race, so hopefully he'll be able to get pole and then pull that off. It's actually an important weekend for several people on the grid:

Barrichello, Nakajima, Kovalainen, Raikkonen, Kubica, Piquet, Bourdais, Vettel, and Fisichella.

HK better finish a lap! This GP is going to be crucial for him I think he keeps going on about how the team are really supporting him and how he feels positive with everything and that he is feeling really comfortable within the team yet his performances just keep getting worst they are not up to standard for a team such as McLaren (still really like the guy though). If things don't start to improve then I would like to see him replaced by Antony Davidson.

You and me both! Heikki had better finish a lap, hes such a nice guy but at the end of the day it isn't about how nice he is, he is there to help the team

Yeeharhoo! might just stay up... :coffee:

Also @ Denthul
Barrichello, Nakajima, Kovalainen, Raikkonen, Kubica, Piquet, Bourdais, Vettel, and Fisichella.

You've highlighted some drivers there who have arguably underachieved in the first 2 races but in my opinion, Vettel, Raikkonen, Kubica and Bourdais have done a fair job so far, at least as good as Massa, Alonso and Rosberg. I understand that for Raikkonen, Vettel and Kubica, they need to score heavily soon in order to get into a championship battle they will feel they should be part of but surely this is as much of a concern to Massa, Hamilton and Alonso...

Well, not much longer to go. Probably end up falling asleep on the sofa and missing P2, knowing me :hehe:

I have someone on notice to wake me up ahead of P2 if I'm asleep :thumbup:

Lucky. :P

I don't even know if I'll be able to lie on the sofa to watch P1 - we cleaned it earlier and I don't know if it is dry yet. :(
