And yes Lewis came in and played the innocent naive role and every one loved him but that all was ripped away in Monaco when he made the "I am the No.2 driver" statement when Alonso beat him contrary to what he thought was owed to him as 'the chosen one'! He was never the 'innocent naive rookie', it was just a facade.

Can you prove any of this? Can you present a case for this complete with links and factual evidence, or can we just assume its another blatant lie, maybe start with the facts from Monaco? Or will you just refocus on something else and refuse to back up your stuff

You still havent explained how teams developing their own engines between races is cheaper than having the yearly freeze

Yes imo Lewis will be very sensitive to his only claim to being better than/equal to Alonso being degraded.

If he hadnt been better he wouldnt have out qualified him, been faster in most races, come ahead in the WDC table, and overtaken Alonso on the first corner of the first race

or are you and sagi thinking alonso was made to develop the 2009 Kers during the races while lewis had a better car?

There is plenty of speculation online; but, no proof that Alonso is guilty of blackmailing.

I like Alonso, I like Alonso a lot, certainly even more now that he's ditched the team that saddled him with a lame horse for years, but why wouldn't Alonso have presented media outlets like the BBC with a massive slander lawsuit for reporting he'd attempted to blackmail his team?

I was under the impression that Alonso was under a gag order once he left McLaren.
Something else about Alonso, he doesn't seem to respond to what's in the media.
Besides, reporting that he "attempted" blackmail isn't the same as proving guilt.

... And the only reason Ron is saying things now is to try to make his driver feel better. How long has he waited? Seven years? And he chooses when Alonso resigns for Mclaren. Too funny!

Probably figured it was better to let sleeping dogs lie.
That or Alonso wasn't the only one with a gag order!!

So why now? Why wake the sleeping dogs up now? And what is it you're suggesting Lewis did as a rookie at Mclaren? Other than beat Alonso?

That's something only Ron Dennis can answer.

Also, please don't get defensive about Hamilton,
as I didn't suggest he did anything.

Well I will get defensive about Lewis if I feel he is having unjustified things layed at his door.
Talking about sleeping dogs, and things going on behind closed doors not knowing the whole truth suggest you do feel Lewis did something untoward.

It's just the bitterness of never having savored victory as a fan. Pity. Should text Sir. Bob Geldof see if he'd be willing to round up a few stars and make a do they know it's Christmas charity song for Ferrrari.

Jim will fix it, with Luca replacing in the starring role the once walking rotting corpse currently residing in Britains 'most spat upon grave'

Not at all. I used that idiom to describe the past. Whatever happened at McLaren in 2007, whomever said
what to whom, it's obvious that Ron Dennis didn't want to get into it, until now.

His timing is suspect, considering Alonso's return to McLaren, so I agree with you there. However, I am not
suggesting that either was innocent, nor am I laying anything at Hamilton's feet. In all honesty, considering
human nature, each of them probably feels wronged and could justify their own actions and reactions.

"There are three sides to every story. My side. Your side. And, the truth.
And, no one is lying. Memories shared serve each differently.

Yes cookin Hamilton made the immature "I am the No.2 driver" etc. comment after his second place finish in Monaco to the Brit media which whipped them into a frenzy (how could our own Brit racer on a Brit team be a No.2 to a Spaniard?) which forced Dennis to try and save face and stated that he "virtually had to decide in advance" who would win which then led to an FIA investigation into illegal team orders and as well enraged Alonso as it undermined him and implied that his win was due to Dennis's help and not his superior driving.

Classic Dennis lack of driver and media management! One of the biggest screw ups of its kind in F1 history at the time (quickly upstaged though by Dennis's ineptitude in Hungary and then in China).

All of that was due to Dennis leading/allowing both to perceive that they were the favoured driver. It is all there if you are able to comprehend what you have witnessed, the proof is in the pudding. Dennis has verified Hamilton's perceived "chosen one" status and his immaturity and his role in pulling the trigger in 2007.

You still havent explained how teams developing their own engines between races is cheaper than having the yearly freeze

I answered you over a week ago cookin.

Anyway why are you whining about costs? You are on record that engine reg changes cost lots of money anyway.
There is one simple fact in F1, rule changes cost money, particularly ones involving the engine

This is just part of that cost until relative parity is achieved.

No "lies" cookin just opinions and interpretations. Why must you bully your fellow posters with this kind of accusation?
#430063
You didnt prove that Lewis thought he was owed anything as a 'chosen' one - so that must be a lie you made up
You didnt prove how teams can develop their own engines or how doing so between races is cheaper than the freeze, and saying its only more expensive till parity is reached doesnt make it cheaper than the once yearly fix - but we already know you made that up

It seems that there is no proof that you agreed with the other 'non factual' debaters about MS's role in designing the Hybrid, so i am happy to retract this charge against you

however please go away and make sure you can back up what you say as i am only interested in true things

I just woke up from an afternoon nap, and had a dream RD refused to change the seat size for Alonso since its against McLaren protocol at race weekend, and Alonso took revenge by not turning up for the race. My conscience is anticipating much fun in 2015. :hehe:

I am quite happy with Alonso coming back. I have been critical of him since he left but that was just down to a broken heart! Honest!

On one hand we just gotta trust Ron and see the good side in Lewis not there but Alonso and Button are

However its worrying to hear Ron say he has 'changed' and 'mellowed' in the years since - this doesnt bode well, and I suspect Rons few years away from the pitwall may have led to this knife edge situation.
It should all have blown over by the time Lewis is available again - lets hope Ron avoids a blow up of the whole franchise
