No such thing as a racing incident in modern day F1; there is always a proportion of blame and the person with the most 'blame' gets the punishment; which is this case I believe is Magnussen as he is a the following driver; the driver following has the responsibility to avoid the collision.

Maybe they need to take a leaf from the BTCCs books and just allow some hard racing.

The driver leading has a responsibility to lay off the bottle before a race.

That would be interesting; but we'd end up with a destruction derby scenario as no-one would have an wheels on their wagon come the end!

I thought you weren't allowed to turn in on a driver anymore?

... RedBull are sabotaging Ricciardo's car to protect Vettel.

Oh no, don't start! This forum was almost crippled with conspiracy theories a couple of years ago...

A question.

Why is it,out of 22 cars, only Richardo's flow sensor that has issues / fails? No one-else seems to have had any issues?

Is it ......

a) RedBull replaced the sensor from Australia with a new one, and something on Ricciardo's car is making it go funny.
b) RedBull didnt replace it. Which is stupid
c) Other teams arent being so vocal about theirs failing (which I find hard to believe)
d) RedBull are sabotaging Ricciardo's car to protect Vettel.

I have to say, there's a touch of the devious child about Red Bull at the moment. These are the sort of tricks my 4yr old plays on her younger brother.

So I say to Red Bull what I say to her, 'Just cut that s*** out'.

There is definitely the naivety of a 4 year old about the glee shown by the team when claiming to be catching up with Merc

In the cold daylight after looking at the facts from the race more mature competitors soke out
As for McLaren, racing boss Eric Boullier was forthright when asked if the British team can close the gap to Mercedes for the start of the European season, when the first major development steps will be made.

“No,” he answered.

Is Boullier confident that the gap can be closed at all in 2014? “That’s the right question. Maybe by Europe next year, yes.”

At least Horner wised up a little later

Reports immediately after the race suggested that Red Bull are quickly catching up with the Silver Arrows in the development race, in the light o Sebastian Vettel finishing within striking distance of second-placed Nico Rosberg in Malaysia.

But Red Bull’s Christian Horner said after Sepang: “It’s a big gap. They have plenty up their sleeve.”

A good race. Nice overtake by Kvyat, Hulkenberg and Bottas were impressive I thought, and good to see a Lotus finish.
Mercedes will be tough to beat as others have said, I expect Lewis will have a good year and only dependent on reliability.

I expect Raikkonen will be fine, the first two races were a bad car and the incident; although the Ferrari doesn't look that fast right now to be honest (even with fixed electronics), Alonso simply drove well. I expect the car will improve greatly.

Not a Red Bull fan, but poor Ricciardo had an awful start.

Hopefully improvements from Kvyat, Bottas, Lotus and Ferrari next week and ease on the bad luck for Ricciardo.
