I think some of those with less than 100 posts dont believe in using vaseline

just to wrestle this thread slightly more towards the topic....

The top 3 all finished their laps with 13 seconds or so remaining didnt they? I know lewis did at least, Why arnt they going round for another lap anymore? in the past if you finished your lap before 0:00 then you could go round again and do another lap but no one seems to do it anymore, if its fuel thats the problem surely its worth putting another laps worth in to have another go?

They probably didn't want to put any more laps than they absolutely have to on the tires. Those things are so key now that 1 hot lap is the best bet

the comentators dont even comment on the chance to do another lap, im sat there watching it thinking "they're all doing another lap aint they" for a minute longer than i need to be! If i was alonso id of done anoter lap to try get 2nd or 1st surely this is worth one more lap on the tires

Just because a driver has had a spell of bad races doesn't mean that they should be replaced.

If anyone doesn't understand the reasons why this might be the case, then I think their understanding of how F1 works is very poor.

I can explain further if it's needed. I.e. if there are people out there whose understanding of F1 is very poor. And I'll keep the rhetoric simple so that you can understand it.

I see what you mean. however, I think the teams don't believe that 1 or 2 more places is worth the extra lap on the tires. As we saw in monaco, alonso passed lewis in the pits cuz he got one last lap out of those tires during the race. Even red bull didn't bother putting vettel out on a second lap (if I remember correctly) so they could save tires. Same thing happened in catalunya. It just isn't worth it in their eyes because of the fragility of the tires nowadays

Can I remind you two that Quantity does NOT equal quality. Look at some of the s*** you guys come out with. No wonder you have such high (and meaningless) post counts.

Agreed!! Although, it did take me over a year to reach this level of dumb, meaningless post counts dude, so you guys are only seeing the tip of the iceberg I do have a couple bright moments tho Post count doesn't matter to me, though I do think if one has less than three digits they ought to try getting along a bit first before getting too gritty and pointing fingers and such. Just my thoughts on the issue though!! People can still disagree while being civil and with a lot less 'bite' i guess we could call it, that's all I like to see

Grosjean is a near certainty for a crash early in the race. The guy's a danger.
