Of course he would have done. But how far that challenge would have got him is a different matter. No matter how much people chortle with their hate-orientated hypothesis, it will remain guesswork.

Am I supposed to be a hate orientated hypothesiser? Who am I supposed to hate? And of course it will be guess work until it happens.

No, I did not mean that personally but the atmosphere in general. Both of us know, as does everyone else, that there have been derogatory comments about Vettel in these and other forums which are ridiculously disproportionate to whatever he is supposed to have said or done. I am not claiming that Vettel is a saint but he most certainly has not said or done anything worse than what guys like Alonso and Hamilton have done in the past - things which conveniently get glossed over or "explained". Vettel has only to look cross-eyed at the camera to trigger the usual supposedly subtle garbage from the likes of Andrew Benson or Tom Cary.

Therefore, one can only infer that such a wide ranging anti-Vettel feeling can only be hate-fuelled but where that hate comes from beats me. Since all concerned jump with the reassurance that his German nationality has nothing to do with it, It can only be due to the fact that he is continuing to win, foiling people's expectations of their own heros' triumphs. Those that claim the loudest that Vettel won't win another championships must be the ones that latently fear the possibility of him doing just that and not liking the prospect.

That's my feeling. I know you have the power to throw the book at me for saying it, but I had to.
