There is no McLaren fan more disappointed in last season than me. It sucks when your team is trawling around in 10th place. I personally don't rate Whitmarsh very highly although I like Jenson. I know he is not the fastest on the grid and he is getting older, but if you were in his place what would you say?
I reckon he is on his last season with a top team, the 'hilarious' quote has been taken out of context I think. To be honest, no-one knows what next season will bring, unfortunately for me as a McLaren fan I am not expecting much from Jenson but hope springs eternal for Kevin :)

Although Ron Dennis frustrated me with his 'Ron Speak' I admire him as a man and a team boss, I would love to see him back in charge of McLaren. I will be honest here and say that for the betterment of McLaren Jenson should go at the end of 2014. Who should replace him depends on how Maggnusson deals with his Rookie season, I would love the Hulk and Kimmi but I can only dream. :cloud9:

I like Lewis Hamilton the Racing Driver, he is up there among the greats in terms of car handling, what I feel let's him down is his emotions off track. I know some of the posters love him for that but really I don't want tweets of my driver and his dogs in first class. What I am saying is that no-one here really knows what goes on in the backroom, who is back-stabbing etc etc. I tend to look above the gossip and try to focus on the driving on the race weekends. I love the technical threads here but admittedly they sometimes get complicated so I ask my tech savvy husband to explain it in layman's terms.

I know my posting history here is generally me defending Jenson, :) but I do have some things to contribute and I would like not be be at odds with Lewis fans so in anticipation of the new season and the New Year I hope I can have a place to talk about F1 without being bullied or ridiculed and we can all share the Forum as it was meant to be.

Happy New Year and Happy New Season to you all :drink::drink::drink:

Well said and a happy new year to you to :-)

This year Lewis fans have a lot to look forward to, don't think there will be much chance at odds. Even the most ardent McLaren fans know they've had their head up their ass and have a string of decisions and mistakes that have led them to the situation they found themselves last season.

As long as it's not another Vettel repeat, I'd even cheer for a 2nd Jenson WDC. :hehe:

Ha Ha, I would say that Sebastian Vettel kicked your Messiash bottom. If Lewis is so great why was he not at Red Bull, then he would have had multiple WC

That's a rhetorical question right?

It means that you forgot Red Bull said thanks but no thanks to Kimi when he went (hat in hand) a'knocking.

...Happy New Year and Happy New Season to you all :drink::drink::drink:

Happy New Year and New Season, to you, too!!

I'm fairly new here and being a Ferrari fan with limited (OK, VERY limited) technical knowledge,
I understand your sentiments. Just remember one thing, it's not us personally that anyone would
disagree with, so much as it's a fan vs fan thing-a-ma-jig!!

Lewis likes a challenge. In equal cars it would be no contest ! But for me, I'm sooooo glad he's not at red bull. Of course more championships will be great, but I'm not a glory hunter, I enjoy watching my man drive the wheels of a car, and if he leaves f1 with one championship, so be it, I've enjoyed it all immensely. It wouldn't be a true reflection of his skill but that's F1 for you, he's still the best in my eyes.
But with Merc looking hot for next year and beyond, who knows, the messiah may regain his true position.:bowdown::hehe:

Ps Roscoe and Coco don't travel first class, they travel in their own private plane with their 'daddy'

That makes it better? After all, Hamilton isn't spending money on a first class ticket ride for them,
he just takes them along on this private jet. Such a practical choice, eh??

So it's ok when someone makes denigrating comments about Lewis, but when others do the same 10x better reasoned and argued about another driver it's upsetting?

Maybe you heard the old saying 'if you can't beat them join them' well if you can't beat them don't join them and continue to moan

You can't complain about attacks on Button and yet make your own lame attacks on Lewis

Anyway we get it, you have left the forum right?

Just couldn't help yanking the chain  Lewis private life is not my real interest, his driving is. But the dogs are lovely so I post the pics.

I'm flattered that you even remember me. I posted a long, nice thing about McLaren, Button and the New Year, I hope that all your wishes come true :)

I remembered how to paste, and no, you will not bully me into leaving the forum.

Show me where I have made 'attacks' on Lewis, show me where I have said anything really bad about any F1 Driver.

Show me where I have said anything bad about a team Boss, show me

I enjoy F1, I am not a brat that gets upset when my man doesn't win. Show me where I have failed to be sporting, show me
