I suppose Rosberg is weighing up his options for next season. Maybe he feels that Williams cannot expect to be competitive next year, especially if they are still driving forward with this year's car.

Not enough time and there isn't such a major change of the rules.


The advantage that Williams have over McLaren, though, is that they have a good car already which they can base next year's car on. That may or may not help them for next year, but I do not expect them to lose this competitive edge. In fact, I expect it to improve, especially if costs are reduced significantly and (in the ideal scenario where Vatanen takes presidency and FOTA are given control over the regulations) technical freedoms are increased.
