I give up. The sheer unwillingness from some of you to accept that Lewis is at least as guilty as Dave and that they should be punished equally beggars belief. The fact that I'm actually seeing arguments that "Lewis is part of McLaren and McLaren is being punished so that's enough" is unbelievable. What was Dave? A contractor?

Piece of advice, never assume anyone is perfect. You're only going to be disappointed.

Who's not accepting Lewis' guilt in this mess? Seems to me that the only thing you want people to post is "Death to the Hamiltons" (or something to that effect). What I see here is a civilized discussion of the whats and the whys. As I've mentioned many times before, I see no people justifying Lewis; rather, I see them talking about what happened, the probable reasons this or that decision was made, and so on.

No justification, just the (apparent) facts. Nobody expects perfection. Get over it. There's not gonna be an universal lynching mob here.

Yeh rumors sell papers.

for a driver who just won the WDC for Mclaren i think your being harsh.

I mean if we had two hekki's last year we would off been 5-8th in the WDC and worse in the WCC proberly.

with a car that was as good as Ferrari almost.

And JB

Your an armchair pundit mate you've not been there unlike dc who is saying what i've been saying. - consider that.

Don't you realise DC will have been instructed to say things like that, in a similar way ITV used to make their coverage very Hamilton friendly?

Armchair Pundit jeez man!

It's alright, I am an armchair pundit (Well, it's an executive chair actually, but why split hairs?). Longbow is too, but he's found DC saying something which vaguely backs up what he says so that obviously makes him right.

Never mind that DC's article was actually about what goes on and had nothing to do with what is just in punishing cheats and liars. That's irrelevant ;)

Over to you Ewman, assuming you have the will to live after this lot.

Longbow, I have to disagree with you here in this: The fact that Lewis was a WDC is irrelevant to what happened. He went up to his ears in doo-doo, World Champion or not.

I agree that Hamilton must receive some sort of punishment; I just fear the Council will go too far with it all and really screw up things.

Your what 17? christ come back when you've lived a little rather than being high and mighty on your soap box of rightousness.

I can't wait till your put in a positon like that, i think you'll suprise yourself when pressure is put on you.

Here we go again: Hamilton was naive. Get a life.

Ageism, really?

REALLY?

Well, if that's how you want to play it, go ahead.

We are all well: "Armchair" Pundits. We can only give our opinion as to what we believe. That is the whole point of the forum.

Come on now, Longbow. No need to get personal.

JensonB might be young, but hell he can carry a civilized argument. And even if we don't agree in everything, I like discussing with him. He's presenting his views in an informed, clear way, and not being fanatical or anything.

If you don't agree, that's fine, but no need to go the other end.

:)

Not ageism mate i'm talking from experience, you've not lived long enough to have been in that positon i expect.

Simply because your only just old enough to work.

yeh thanks mate...

so because i disagree with you slightly i need to get a life?

I'd give it up Longbow, thats what the arguements usually come down to. :headache:

I'm old enough to know right from wrong and where I draw the line. Lewis is 7 years older. I would expect him to be as well.

I just am staggered at how many people seriously buy into the view Hamilton was mislead. I find that excuse vomit-inducing and offensive.
