No, he qualified 16th. The commentators were laughing at how he was fastest in Q1 and then slowest in Q2.

Yeah I was gonna say, he was massively on the pace in Q1, how odd.

This is a crap race. As usual it's benefitting Vettel and going not the way it should be for Alonso. And Perez is a <EDITED FOR CONTENT>. Alonso has to give the place back. The FIA should go to hell for making a decesion against the most important team/driver/car in the sport. Alonso was trying to avoid an accident. Bullcrap decesion. What would please me out if vettel can just not finish and Alonso can finish as high as possible.

Overall a boring race, the safetycars and restarts removed any chance of any one gaining with different strategy.

But well done and congrats to Nico, he surely deserve some good results. and happy to see it happen in his home town, 30 years after his father. Is that a first father-son victory in Monaco?

Vettel did a "mature" run for second, as his WDC challengers were all far behind. "mature" because he still had to go for the satisfaction of fastest lap at the end.

Sutil was great, I think the only driver who showed good moves and impressed with overtaking.

Too many big losers, Alonso was a really embarrassingly bad.

Kimi's only good thing was the salvage of the point run at the end, to make it P10 on last lap.

Great place Monaco, not great races. but overall the fact that Nico won, makes it a bit better after all.

What a stupid race, I honestly don't know why I watch F1 anymore - you've a stupid Mexican kid throwing his car up the inside of drivers where there's no opportunity to 'properly overtake'. As for Rosberg's win, it appeared to me that his victory was decided from the start - everything fell into place and no one challenged him - almost suspicious but I suppose that tyre test helped...

I'm off to cut the grass - it'll be more enjoyable and perhaps less predictable.

Grosjean isn't much better. But I have to say that when a team and driver you support does well the race is exciting, plus it's Monaco.
