This is very odd. Despite all the big rule changes this year, Lotus worked with the same set up data that they used on last years car and it hampered them, Sending them down a blind alley. Now I'm no mechanic or engineer in any way, shape or form, but I think even I might have said, 'hang on guys, these cars are different'

Maybe there lack of running in pre season testing meant they had no other option. The F'S if a race weekend does not leave much time to do big tuning. Minor tweaks are all you could really without possibly writing off a weekend
