Yeah if not for that fluke win in Spain, he'd be on a grand total of 1 point.

Are you serious??? http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/101639

"I have no idea why I got the penalty this time," he said when asked about the penalty by AUTOSPORT. "It was a good overtaking manoeuvre.

Chief operations engineer Mark Gillan backed his driver. He believes that the move was "reasonable" and that the penalty was disappointing.

"Looking at it, it seems a reasonable manoeuvre. He went to overtake di Resta, had a slight moment going in. Di Resta gave him a bit of space and Pastor took it.

He' got to learn not to overtake without pushing others out of the track all the time!

Maldonado ALWAYS denies any wrong doing. That's just the way it is. You can't polish a turd.

It's not just him anymore....I'm surprised the Williams team are not trying to teach this guy a lesson. He's not only looking like a total fool on track, but these idiots who are backing him up look as bad as him now.

It's not too dissimilar to Horner and Vettel post-Hockenheim.

That's true,he also goes blames the others. But this time he has someone on his side defending him this much.If those people are around he will hardly ''reduce'' those moves

Not sure Di Reista could give him much more space that he did.

Pastor goes in too hot everytime he tries to overtake thus causing him to lose control.

As always though it is everyone else's fault according to him though.

Yeah guys I know it definitely looks like he turned into PD. He did. BUT...
DC took us through a slomo replay and said he got oversteer(which we can plainly see) and was forced to steer outward as anyone would need to, it was a last ditch effort to avoid contact but it had gone past the point of no return and that's why he hit PD. I watch that replay and I can see the logic though not 100% ironclad, if he just kept in it with that oversteer then he would have hit PD with his back wheel. I sincerely doubt he deliberately induced oversteer so he could use it as an excuse and deliberately hit people and make it look like an accident. He just tried to hard to defend and he either is bad at car control(he demostrates it almost every meeting) or the williams is not as stable as most of the other cars. I know he lost his cool once and chopped off Perez, but besides that it is pretty irrational to accuse him of deliberately hitting anyone.
I'm not defending Maldo, it is certainly his fault. He shouldn't have tried. A more seasoned driver would have had a cooler head coming into it. Yes perhaps he should be replaced if he is that bad at controlling the car. I'm not his defender and I won't miss him.

I agree that it looked like he was trying to correct his oversteering and hit di resta because of it. I think this incident was purely accidental even though it was completely maldonado's fault. Honestly this gp was pretty 'boring' relative to many other races this season and maldonado's move was a bit of spice it needed

Defenses can probably be made about every incident Maldonado was involved in. I truly believe that.

But why does it keep happening? It gets harder and harder to believe that these are all just accidents that could happen to anyone in racing because they happen to him a lot more often than to others. Take the thing with Di Resta. Perhaps he did have some oversteer. But why did he put himself in a position in which this problem would inevitably lead to a crash? How can a good driver not realize that the presence of oversteer in that turn would be problematic when he is undertaking such an overtaking maneuver?

Each one of his many accidents entails some kind of seemingly legitimate explanation, but in each case you have to wonder why he put himself in such positions. Why doesn't Alonso have these accidents?

Clearly something is wrong.
