i think maldonado will be one of those drivers who just easily gets frustrated. He has the talent , just needs to keep his head together.

Still in 2 minds. To be fair, Maldonado was on a hot lap and Perez was doddering about near the racing line. Awkward place to catch another driver who isn't going at the same pace.

Yes. Was just about to post same. Deserved. That was intentional and dangerous. You cant do that. Thats the stuff the stewards need to punish, delibrate dangerous actions rather than 50/50 racing incidents. Well done this time stewards.

edit. On second tghoughts well done for punishing but why so lenient? This is the second time he's deliberately driven into someone in temper. So that is less of a crime than driving a marginally underfuelled car? Hmmmm.

Typical inconsistency with rules

Intentionally driving into others in a car makes a mockery of safety rules, to do it twice and to get a penalty less than DQ is a joke,

Red Flag - Perez into the barriers at the Swimming Pool. Seems to be a jinx track for Perez.

EDIT - Seems like it was a broken left front suspension - the one that Maldonado hit in FP3!!

They're suggesting possible damage from Maldonad ocrashing into him. It looked like his wheels wouldnt turn, he was turning the steering wheel but the wheels werent going.

I seriously doubt it. The car would have been checked before it went out again. In particular the front left suspension and steering. It looked like Perez got too close to a barrier. He was monstering a few kerbs as well.

The car could have checked out ok but failed under stress.

Doubt it. If there is the slightest doubt over any component it would have been replaced.

Anthony Davidson said he thought it was driver error because Perez went very slightly wide on the entry to the swimming pool and understeered off. Possibly a bit of both could have caused it.
