1998 or 88 all over again

well that would be good but abit boring.

:cloud9: 1988

Anyway, for Bahrain I think...
McLaren will be leading with Red Bull hot on there heels, Ferrari will be 3rd fastest with Sauber & Virgin not far off the pace, they will be followed by Renault and Williams, with Mercedes just behind. behind these there will be Toro Rosso and just behind will be Force India, Lotus and USF1 (I won't suggest where Campos will be...)

During the first few races, the gap will tighten between cars and we will see McLaren shift to Second Fastest, with Red Bull Fastest, Ferrari 3rd fastest, Virgin 4th fastest with Mercedes behind, followed by Renault, Williams and then Toro Rosso, Force India, USF1, Sauber and then Lotus.

Mid Season McLaren Ferrari will take hold as being the fastest, Virgin Second Fastest, McLaren 3rd, Red Bull 4th and Mercedes 5th. Followed by Toro Rosso, Sauber, Williams and then Renault, behind will be Force India, Lotus.

Towards the end we will see it shuffle abit more, with Red Bull back to being the fastest, followed by McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari, Virgin, Toro Rosso, Williams, Sauber, Renault, Force India, Lotus.

At the end, Ferrari will be fastest with McLaren second fastest, Virgin, Red Bull, Mercedes, Williams, Sauber, Renault, Force India, Lotus and then Toro Rosso

Thats in my opinion :P would be nice :P

What on earth possibly makes you believe that Virgin will be anywhere near the top?

I can't believe people seem to think they know what the pecking order is already after the first test when not all teams have even tested yet. this time last year people thought Ferrari and BMW would be up front and look what happened... what if Lotus come along and shock us all like Brawn did last year?

There's a very very long way to go yet, it's an uphill struggle from here...

Know what I can't believe? That you just said that. We're not stupid mate, we are perfectly aware that it's too early to say for sure. We're taking the data that's available to us and making best guesses. Nobody here has called out that "Ferrari will be champions!" or "McLaren won't win a race!" or anything of that nature. All anybody here has done is try to ascertain, from the data we have, who is most likely to be the faster teams at the moment. Don't talk to us like we just appeared.

Touchy...

I wasn't referring to you specifically but there are a few posts where some people have already made predictions based on last week's tests. All I am saying is let's not jump the gun yet... maybe after next week's test there'll be a better pattern.

It's obvious that Ferrari will lap everyone in Bahrain six times. You should just admit it. They were way faster. :|

Don't you feel better now that you have accepted the obvious truth :whip: .

If I was being honest i said 3/4 of the way through last season I thought Ferrari would be quickest at the start of 2010 ,I do hope I'm wrong :hehe:
