didnt Kimi not run KERS during the last race because of his fire in P session? i rekn they arent running it because of reliability issues not to increase performance

Autosport said he retired from the race cause of a 'KERS insulation problem', that's why he was in the garage getting a snack and relaxing when the others were waiting to see if the race was gonna continue.

If Ferrari aren't running KERS, they probably stand half a chance of some decent points this weekend

Well they'll be 30 - 40 kilo's lighter anyway, that's unless Kimi decides to have a gallon of vanilla ice-cream b4 he goes out

I think people get confused about the KERS and its weight problems. they wont be lighter as the car has to have a dry weight of 605kg with KERS included so they will have the same weight if you remove KERS 605kg. the bonus is they can use the ballast to better effect and help setup.

The car will weigh the same, but its weight distribution will be better - they won't be stuck with most of it at the back. They could add some to the front to balance things out if they wanted.

ferrari anit using kers this weekend  pritty sure there screwed then :hehe:

weres this info from, mmmm diffuser maybe

No chance, Ferrari's GeniusDiffuser won't be ready until around Turkey apparently. They've taken KERS off because of the fault that developed on Kimi's in Sepang.

No mention of rain so far.

Slightly off-topic, but does anyone know who will be the first "non double decker" diffuser team to come into line with Brawn et al?

It'll be Renault or McLaren - indeed McLaren look like they already have a version of it.

As i've mentioned elsewhere, i keep reading that Renault have a prototype they can use... but obviously so do McLaren as bud posted that pic in the other thread.
