He started 4th on the grid. Thats 3 drivers in front of him. He only got to the front by overtaking. He didnt start out as the lead driver, he made himself lead driver. Why do you think that was?? Why didnt the other drivers take him back??? There's your answer
racechick

We can argue all day about where he started or who he overtook . SO now you can go ahead and put up that LH poster back on your wall 8)

No arguement at all about where he started...it was 4th. Or who he overtook. It was Webber, Kimi and Heikki. Then it was the whole field bar two. then it was Massa again. How many overtaking moves is that? And you reckon he wasnt ever behind anyone :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: How the hell did he lap tham all then?? :hehe:

Well I was there, but fairly ill. Think I picked up some sort of bug. My stomach wasn't holding up well and with Silverstone's toilet facilities...well I saw first hand why they are criticised so much.

Plus I wasn't too sure of where people were and things. If we are all going next year, I'll deff make an effort next time.

Sorry to dissappoint

A car moving out of the way to let you lap him is not an overtake.

Unless it's a "mobile chicane" driver, but there aren't any of these in the current field (apart from maybe Glock and unless Ralf made a return). ;)

Ok lapped them then
 The issue was about hamilton being in clean air because he was out front and therefore having an easier time of it. He was so far out front that he was in the spray of all twenty odd cars he overtook, er sorry lapped. Cars being lapped may be going slower but they still produce spray that stops you seeing.

I was not taking anything away from Lewis as I had stated before he deserved the win with his dominating performance. My implication was that I agreed that being in the lead and having the blue flag waving for you constantly should not be taken out of the equation.

Not trying to take away anything he did on Sunday but with the gap that he built once Kimi was out of the equation, all he had to do was stay away from a backmarker's rooster tail wait for the blue flag and then zoom by, where as another driver would have to approach that rooster tail and fight for position. Either way, great drive on Sunday.

Well im going to try to put some photos from Silverstone on here . I didnt take many cos the weather was crap so I mostly stayed hidden under my brolly. The photos are pretty crap too but at least it'll give you an idea what it was like .... :brolly:

First pic is the campsite, pretty basic as you see...in fact yes its a field  but a nice field and relatively quiet
