Well I always have. 100% I sat in Stowe and Woodcote in 07 on the friday.Used to when I went a few years before that aswell.

I thought they always let you do it so people would upgrade for the other days

Donington confident over track progress

By Jonathan Noble and Dieter Rencken Monday, September 7th 2009, 10:52 GMT

Donington Park is confident that its British Grand Prix ambitions remain on course, with track boss Simon Gillett saying an announcement about its plans will be made around the end of this month.

Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone had handed the track an end of September deadline to prove it had the funding in place to hold next year's race if the event was not to revert back to Silverstone.

Gillett held talks with Ecclestone at the recent Belgian Grand Prix and, although reluctant to provide firm details of how progress is going at his track, he says the venue is firmly on schedule.

"Donington has moved forward an awful lot and we are really comfortable," Gillett told AUTOSPORT about the state of progress.

"We are going to be coming out of the closet in the next three to four weeks, so there will be some good news coming out of Donington Park."

Silverstone is anxious for news about the state of the British GP preparations, with it needing to decide in the next few weeks whether to keep its venue in a state of readiness in case it is asked to hold next year's race.

Gillett reminds me of a second-hand car salesman.
