Trying to work my picks for tomorrow and would like to clarify... Petrov will get a 5 grid penalty for a gearbox change?

Nothing on the FIA website about this so far.

Interestingly, I thought that the red race suits looked pretty good on the McLaren drivers today. They should keep them, far nicer than the regular ones.

Hamilton didnt keep up with Vettel in Melbourne cause he had a real bad start, and had to fight Webber off.

Hamilton didnt keep up with Vettel in Malaysia cause Heidfeld got infront and held him up.

Hes been very lucky so far in the cars behind him having to fight amongst themselves. Now hes got two Mclarens behind him both on pace, theyre also faster in a straight line id believe, i think Vettel might have to fight for this one tomorrow.

i think all this business about vettel not being that good etc...is just rubbish, at the end of the day he is a class driver and thats it, good qualifying from jenson and lewis, being mindful that lewis only went for one run thinking ahead for tomorrow,

:yikes: just realized Ferrari are 1.6 seconds off the pace in qualifying! Compound that with 4 more laps on the primes than Vettel and 6 and 7 more laps than Button or Hamilton.

aparantly, ferrari are bringing a flexi front wing to turkey, be intresting to see what red bull and mclaren bring.

Good let them bring it and get DSQ after the race.

Q was pretty eventful but kinda boring; ferrari are truly off, in alonso's lap he was dropping almost 1/2 sec per sector, but it looked as if aalonso wasnt looking for much...

And why aare the maccas copying ferrari?? At least hamilton can now say he's driven in red

Button was great, his lap was so clean... You could see lewis had to push hard and was a bit sketchy but jenson was pretty vettel-like he he in fact, i think he just might win the race, while lewis might start dropping behind as the race progresses giving the podium to alonso.

webber missing the cut must be a major tough pill... To see vettel havingb absolutely perfect drives, i think he's in for a letdown

Seems a really stupid decision for Mark not to go out out on the options. I assume Redbull want a constructors championship as well? Even if their main priority is Vettel and marketing with him.

Bad day for Renault.

Vettel will probably walk this race.

Ferrari, I wonder how good that race pace is, but Rosberg could get in the way here - a shout out to him, good qualifying. At least Massa looks faster, and he's had rocket starts as well.

Like I said, the midfield is where its at, at this race Torro Rosso seem to have more pace, but the Sauber I think might make up positions with their race strategy.

Jenson seems pretty good at starts as well, no need for the attacks from Hamilton fans. He out qualified Lewis fair and square, get over it. I still think Vettel hasn't shown his true race pace though.

...As I've said too many times to count, only great drivers win the World Championship, unless they're cheats.

Do you believe if you say it enough, it eventually will come true? If it were credible, would you have had to say it a second time?

Only great drivers get into F1. Sometimes pure blind luck determines who wins the race. Sometimes even a series of races.

In 2009, Button got bloody lucky. The FIA bollocksed the tyre specs very near the start of the season, but Toyota (nee: Brawn) had it sussed. It took seven races before the competition produced a shadow diffuser competitive to Brawn's. Button failed to score a win, a pole or a fastest lap after the seventh race. That fact speaks volumes.

Over his career, Button has averaged one win in every 27 starts. In his career, he has taken eight poles, total. Eight. Those hardly are noteworthy numbers. Vettel has taken eight poles in the last 12 races alone. He took more poles in the 2010 season than Button had in the previous 10 seasons (AFAIK, 1 < 10). The season Button won WDC, Vettel took four poles. The following season, Vettel won WDC and Button took ZERO poles.

You can't distinguish a midfield driver from a world-beater so I don't know why it should surprise anyone you also don't recognise a "once-in-a-lifetime talent" when you see him. He's only 23 years old, for Christ's sake. Lighten up or you might miss, not just the greatest of our lifetimes, but the greatest of all time.

Sebastien Vettel is a phenom. This much is certain. Your blind devotion to JB does not, can not diminish that fact.

A phenom has phenominal wins, like Lewis at the British GP when he overlapped everyone but 2nd and 3rd.
99.9% of Vettels wins are pole to flag and have come in a car thats .5 to a full second faster then the competition.
Vettel when he starts anywhere but first is an average driver.

You not being a Mclaren fan you would not know that hugo boss alongside Mclaren have let the public or fans design Race suits for Mclaren this season.
