Quite!!

We're so inundated with "celebrities and celebrity-wanna-be's showing off",
that it's refreshing to know that some people aren't blatantly looking for the limelight!!

Assuming the duck isn't lame

Maybe it's the image Jenson had in mind when he picked his title of duck. Looks smooth and undisturbed on the surface but is frantically cruising and collecting under the surface. He certainly cruise and collected on Alonso's bottom in Canada so he can't be lame all the time

I felt for Button yeaterday. So close to finally getting on the podium in Silverstone after 14 times of trying.

This year would of been good year to do it....

-For Silverstone 50
-In memory of his dad
-And in his final year of driving and F1 car.

All he needed was a couple more laps

Or to have left McLaren and moved to Mercedes. What was shocking to me was that he came in 6th in the 2009 shot at Silverstone with the dominant Brawn. The question remains about his contract renewal so maybe he'll get another crack at it? Once again though the McLaren results are misleading as to where they are in terms of performance and benefiting from DNFs.

Again he lead his highly rated team mate home.

As well he should being the most experienced driver in the sport and a WDC.

His highly rated team mate is a rookie. This was Jenson's home GP and hugely emotional for him, he had extra incentive from the crowd as did Max and Lewis. he should have performed better than Kevin. That said, I did feel myself warming to him this weekend, maybe now he's no longer playing games with Lewis, he was nice about Lewis, wanted him to win. Maybe because of his dad. Maybe because all the money he raises from the pink Tshirts goes to charity. Maybe because he did drive well on Sunday. And he is popular at Silverstone.
At the post race party Jardine was trying to whip the crowd up about what Ron had said regarding Button. Jens dealt with it diplomatically, but he's never been short of a silky tongue.

I think he was highly rated in winter testing and the first race of the season.

Now he's Mr Ordinary Joe....sadly. He should be showing the way to Button comfortably by now to be the next Lewis Hamilton.

Highly rated rookie this year is now Kvyat.

It's funny how Button gets no love from this forum, it's always he's rubbish, a lame duck when he doesn't do so well and when he does do well; it's so he should, he's the most experienced driver on the grid... Jenson drove well to fourth place at Silverstone in an under performing car!

Hey I was the first one acknowledging his effort in the Silverstone thread post race! He's a WDC and IMO should be held to a higher standard. In the same thread I bad mouthed Vettel and Kimi, so it's not a case of no love (at least from me) it's a case of transcendence from the way we'd look at a garden variety F1 driver to what's expected of a driver with greatness.

First of all, solid performance from McLaren and hat's off to them. Button had perhaps his finest performance of the year, and Mags the rookie not far behind at all. With the exception of Lewis (of course) the drives of the day honors are shared by Bottas and Alonso. That's driving ladies and gents, that's driving.
