All Formula 1 cars in Jerez on Thursday have emerged from their garages with special messages for the injured Robert Kubica, who continues to make a slow recovery in an Italian hospital following his violent rally accident on Sunday morning.

Team Lotus' message is displayed on the rear wing

First seen on the FOTA (Formula One Teams Association) website on Wednesday, the Polish message ‘Szybkiego powrotu do zdrowia Robert’ – literally translating to ‘Wishing you a speedy return to health Robert’ – is placed on every car’s engine cover or wings, as demonstrated above by Lewis Hamilton.

Its more likely that heidfield will get the drive

Yup. I am beginning to think so. It makes the most sense in a lot of ways. Nick and Robert were not really that far apart in BMW. They obviously considered Senna, in case it were a short/mid term thing, but its quite difficult for it to be anything but longterm.

So with a Heidfeld/Petrov lineup Renault can possibly expect (hope) for: a few surprise results from Petrov with a solid points haul from Heidfeld, who will also lead the development process... not bad really.

It's just the way he hit it. If he was 1m to the right he would have glanced it and it would have done its job. But direct hit then its like is like a torpedo.

Check out the simulation video, it shows from a physical standpoint what the car did and how it hit.

Doubt that's the same car WRC cars don't have air bags

Also it's appears to have no roll cage

I agree, it looked odd since that's not a race seat either... it's even got the electric power seat adjustments and floor mats! :yikes:

This is an Audi I think, for sure its a road car, not a rally car. Obviously same problem with the armco going through the car, but its not Robert's car.
