I'm kinda curious as to whether Mclaren gave Lewis a radio message to just allow Jenson through.

Anyway, another discussion point, I thought that the message to Schumacher (Rosberg knows to give you space) wasn't actually team orders as in "let your team mate through" but more the general teamate battle code restated (don't take your team mate out!) with a view to encouraging Schumacher and given him the all clear that the team would prefer to have him tucked neatly behind (as the Mercedes were clearly only racing themselves).

I believe everyone on both sides of the fence acknowledge that what Ferrari did was blatantly breaking the "no team orders" rule, my point with Germany 2008 is that despite all variables, such as pit strategy, tyre strategy etc, it's entirely possible that Hamilton would have struggled to pass Kovalainen, I'm not saying that Hamilton couldn't pass!

Seems like no one is willing to admit it when their team does it though

You're so right about that... impartiality is the rarest F1 fan trait it would seem.

Are you saying I'm not an F1 fan?

Did he need team orders to pass massa and piquet who were lapping faster than Hekki? No! It's not hard to fathom, unless for the sake of a weak argument to paint Ferrari in a better light! :banghead:

Arguing over something that happened two years ago is redundant at this point; but McLaren are as guilty as Ferrari of implementing team orders two years previous. We will never know whether Lewis would have been able to overtake Heikki without team orders; anything we say is only extrapolated opinion!

Exactly! Mclaren used them, regardless of if Lewis was able to overtake Hekki,

No one would dare to do that again, because it would be really conspicuous and everyone else would blame that team.

I think the same way as you do.Thats harsh for a 7 times world champion but at that point team would(actually they should) favoritizm Rosberg. He has an increasing achievement nobody can ignore this.

I used to care about team orders and see it as if its a sin but for now i dont really care. Its in everywhere especially in sports.Maybe more obvious in some places.Mclaren has it like any other team, not so obvious but its recognizable.I am not going to defend them because of being my favorite team
