I'm also very dissapointed with the Redbull drivers, Webber being a sissy talking about unraceable conditions all the time, yeah easy for you to say mate, if they scrapped all 3 remaining races and just gave you the WDC trophy I'm sure you wouldn't complain much!!

I think ALonso would be happy if they scrapped the last 2 races now. And if Hamilton were in front he would probably hope the same. I believe anyone human wouldn't mind being given the trophy because in all seriousness, all of the 5 contenders are worthy chamoions.

Umm not really. I know you are being sarcastic but in all seriousness I cannot believe Alonson won (although I am extremely happy). I was serious when I was nervously walking up and down the room for all of those last 8 or so laps. This is perhaps explaining my umm "unexpected" balanced opinion.

I actually don't agree with you - I don't think Vettel would be a worthy champion. He has consistently behaved badly and immaturely this year. I just don't think he would be a good ambassador for the sport as world champion. But that's just my opinion...

In that sense you would be right and ready for it, I agree with you. (Maybe I'm not really ok today hahahaha), but as a driver with skill and a very fast driver in all conditions he is indeed worthy.

I just can't understand how one CANNOT like Lewis Hamilton. Everyone talking about how bad the conditions are and then one driver is clueless about why the race has not started yet, no problems with conditions nor with the light. I don't care that once the race started he lost a position and wasn't faster than anyone else, his philosophy and competitiveness is what charms me. Prolly the day he leaves F1 will be the day when I will lose my passion for Formula 1.

Anyways what an eventful race, somehow I was happy when I saw Alonso pass Vettel, although I have to admit the way Vettel takes these car failures is beyond me, he can still smile about it and think about tomorrow, props.

It was a dull race, as far as overtaking for the front racers. Sutil was on a war path today thou, and made more passes than the other drivers together lol.

good race, lacked a little in the race department but track seems like it will be good in the future definatly a interesting location and well done fernando and lewis for holding it together but frankly lucky about the redbulls it should have been marks, and then it should have been sebs..... frankly bizarre.

any of the 5 will be great champs but redbull will bring it to a global audience which will be best for the sports image rather than the prestiges teams getting it yet again.

Talking about unworthy champions, Jenson Button was terrible. Clearly. Talk about a bad ambassador for the sport, starts 7th and finishes 12th. If anything highlights the inadequacies of this sport it is his performance alone.

I mean you can say there have been bad drivers in good cars before but Jenson just makes it obvious. His teammate Lewis jumps 2 spots and he drops 5. If McLaren arnt considering a new driver when his contract is up they would be mad.

Look at the way he won his WDC in the first place...a car which was simply CLASS of the field, making this years Redbull look only "a pretty good car to have".

In terms of raw pace and muscling the car in difficult conditions, he can't hold a candle to the other 4 drivers. Simply can't. Which is why he always tries something different to the others (tyre gambles, different strategies), on a level playing field I'm sure he knows deep inside he's just. not. good enough.

Although I was worried something might happen to Alonso next and didn't want Hamilton to win. I was also thinking that Hamilton might of began pressuring Alonso, although it thankfully turned out that Alonso pulled away from Hamilton

He didn't pull away from him, Lewis let him go. Hammy's tyres were shot to pieces and he just wanted to nurse the car home in 2nd position.

So, karma bites Vettel on the arse for being lame and bitching about the light conditions to try and manipulate race control. Quality.

By the same token, like him or not you gotta hand it to Hamilton for being up front about the conditions. Yeah, perhaps all the drivers were trying to work things for their own needs but that really started to take the piss after a while today. Brundle made some brilliant points in commentary regarding precidents and how they 'might as well leave the wets and home and only race when it's dry'.

Has Liuzzi saved his job with that drive today? He stayed out of trouble for a very solid 6th place. Meanwhile the 'old' Adrian Sutil turned up today, fast in the wet but a complete liability at the same time! Some great action in the midfield as per usual, i really enjoyed it.

For me, in every race since Spa the championship tension has been cranked up a notch, it's unbearable now! Today really was a key race. Alonso is doing exactly what he said he needed to and it's working... now surely if Red Bull have any sense they'll back Webber, trying to let Vettel make up a 25 point deficit leaves too much to chance. The same can be said for Hamilton, but i just don't think the McLaren is quick enough so they are also basically banking on a bit of luck (which they actually got today with Alonso's wheel nut and the Red Bull DNF's...).

It's good to pass other cars, but he was reckless today.

I wished there would have been less safety car and more wet racing, but what wet racing we got was all out carnage.

Few items of note, in my opinion, Alonso and Hamilton are the two best drivers on the grid today, masterful job for Alonso and he won today, but he's now got to keep looking over his shoulder and we know how much looking over his shoulder he does. It's clear that the we the fans project a lot more friction into the relationships of drivers than there is.

I saw Hamilton pull his car next to Alonso's on the victory lap and clap for him. It was a great sporting gesture to see.

It's obvious that Red Bull knew their engine was about to blow up from the telemetry because Vettel complaining of poor light was like saying race control, PLEASE stop it now while I'm still in the lead.

Kobayashi is today the most exciting driver on the grid period. Man you just can't help cheering for the guy!

Although not mathematically out, Jenson can only win with guys in front getting DNFs or just being out of the points.

Phenomenal drive for Liuzzi and both Saubers and Williams in the points! Good job for the independents!
