According to that story,

Reports said the mechanics lost faith in Hamilton after the 'lie-gate' saga cost long-serving Dave Ryan his job, while at the same time the British driver made veiled threats about leaving the team.

Martin Whitmarsh denied that, but then again - it is his job to perform damage control.

If that is true, I am guessing it might be a reason for Lewis' sub-par performance; angry and accusing techies faces might do that to one's nerves...

I think F1 Live nicked the story from the Daily Mail. Therefore, its reliability is pretty suspect. The Times, however, is a good paper, and they seem pretty confident Hamilton has been planning an exit strategy.

Hold on a minute-Lewis provided all of us with lots of excitement, and the good kind of excitement where he was pushing to the limit and making clean passes. He didn't crash anybody out, he didn't make questionable passes and he didn't (thank God) play it safe. For whatever reason, his car was chewing up tires but he stayed out there and dealt with it. So yeh, he pushed it over the edge and had some offs, but didn't nearly everybody else in that race at one time or another? Whatever, you can love him or hate him but there was a lot of passing in that race and Lewis was responsible for a large portion of them (sometimes passing and sometimes being passed).

WTF are you smoking? You obviously don't know what McLaren is about! McLaren is all about winning as a team they are a very strong team who work together well. This buisness about his mechanics is that the Daily Garbage decided to print and it has no basis. The idea that his mechanics would be resentful or be angry with Lewis is highly unlikely and the idea that they would purposely under perform so Lewis will loose is unthinkable. They would never do it even if he said he hated them all and that he was going to leave which he has not. McLaren Win as a team and loose as a team and all they care about is winning!

I can listen to others opinions and discuss them but if your gonna say somthing like that you need to back it up or say "this is what i think"
