To be fair, wasnt Nico beaten by Webber in his rookie year? History books shows us that rookies always get beaten by their teammates, with only one or two exceptions

You're letting silly facts get in the way. I'm assuming if people can't see Hamilton's value in his seven and a bit years they never will.

I think this is truth.

I think they see it, they just are rubbed the wrong way by it. I've said it already and it bears repeating, Nico has been Lewis' toughest team mate by far and they are both pushing one another to greater heights. I'll say this loud and proud. Nico has managed to do something that Alonso, and Button couldn't. Push the level of competition up instead of pulling it down and that's a great compliment to what's going on at Mercedes.

When the "who's got the best driver pairing" comparisons come around next year and all the talking heads are circlejerking the Ferrari duo, I'll be laughing.

Truth again. We're on a roll....akin to Mercedes. No time for losers this year. :D

Nico is getting desperate, that was an ugly, ugly, ugly turn one move. It's not going to end well one of these days.

That was a really d*ck move from Rosberg there. Where was the one car width that he was obliged to leave? Hamilton had to take real evasive action to avoid contact. Very poor driving.

Is it the same steward at this race from Monaco? It's the first time I've seen a driver cut a chicane, floor the gas to get out of DRS during a very crucial charge...and get a "warning".

Can't help feeling some higher powers out there don't want Lewis winning the WDC. Now it looks like Rosberg can cruise for the next 2-3 races and still be in the lead. Just incredible.

What a race! Congratulations to Daniel Ricciardo. Rosberg held out longer than I'm sure even Mercedes anticipated, but talk about bittersweet race results. It's a good thing these cars sound awful, otherwise the FiA would have gotten things perfect with the 2014 reqs.

Excellent, excellent racing, so much so that I can forget even the Lewis DNF. Nico May not be as talented, but he sure is luckier than his teammate.

This is how I felt through 2008, as though there was no way in hell some strange force somewhere was gonna let him win the WDC. I truly expected his 'luck' would culminate in missing out. I was seriously shocked when he did win. I remember thinking how wrong I was to think like that especially when Obama won as well, another outcome I was convinced couldnt happen in a month of Sundays

Come on now, it's only one DNF from being even.

No...it's 2.

Lewis: 2 mechanical failures
Rosberg: 0

Despite all that hard work, and all that superhuman effort in Bahrain and those dominance in Malaysia and China he's set back again to 22. The guy will need some serious monster motivation to keep his head up, I'm sure he'll be back hard in the next race but what does bad luck like this do for confidence? He's seen his teammate foul twice in the space of 1 race and get off scot free. A massive foul in the previous race, and scot free. What exactly would you be thinking right now if you were Lewis?

Whatever his thinking will be deemed mental weakness by the haterz, He will be ok by next weekend. I was ok after 10 miunites :D

I think Ricciardo winning has softened a potentially huge blow somewhat, and Lewis should keep in mind that he's 22 behind, not 29. Psychologically, the 25 barrier makes a significant difference.

I think WB meant that if Rosberg had one DNF, he and Hamilton would be even in the standings!

Thanks I knew exactly what he meant, but I put forward my take on it in regards to 'even'.
