An entertaining evening on the track. Bolt does it again, even with an ever so slightly shaky start!

If Usain Bolt was an F1 driver, the post race celebrations would be very interesting. :hehe:

He'd need a very long car to fit his legs in :hehe: But yes, I know what you mean. And can you imagine his reaction to being pulled up for hooning?? Delicious!!

Oh, I've been meaning to mention this but Stella McCartney did a great job with the team GB gear. It almost makes up for the bad design choices elsewhere throughout the games.

Woo hoo!!! Our Aussie Anna beats the Brit's Queen Victoria in the match sprints :D Awesome!! also the same for Sally Pearson in the 100m hurdles, great result, and by far Australia's best day at London 2012. Also the Aussies are a good chance in the BMX and hopefully that can get us in the top 10 on the tally.

At the end of track cycling events, Team GB have 7 out of 10 gold medals from the velodrome  just total domination and clearly setting the benchmark for track cycling.

Yeah we doing good at cycling, we might have had two more but for Pendaltons's disqualification and penalty.

On the topic of cycling ......Does anyone know why the rules were changed after Beijing to say that a country could only have one competitor representing each event?? That's not the case in other disciplines is it? So why was it changed for cycling?
#315311
Why? I don't know but the rules are made by the governing body for the respective sport even for the Olympics.

Probably a good thing that they put that rule in for the rest of the world sake, otherwise team GB would take every single medal on offer. But it is sort of unfair i guess when you look at the men's 100m, when there were 3 Jamaicans and 2 or 3 American runners in the final. Imagine if the same rule applies for that.

I'm not satisfied with this Olympics at all... This is so much worse than in China. Starting with that insane Illuminati opening ceremony, followed by SO MANY organisation mistakes and failures... Broadcasting should have been much better, with more info on everything, not skipping certain persons or teams, because they're not so interesting... Beijing, still unbeaten!

Beijing, still unbeaten!

Unlike the forced labor at Beijing to make those Olympics happen.

I think this is well better than Beijing. I was pretty ambivalent before it started but have been drawn in. The opening ceremony was ACE! Even the Chinese in a poll voted marginally that London was better

I cant comment on the quality of broadcasting in your country, but here in the UK the BBC has been fantastic

Guys, I know you're from UK, but be realistic. I have the position to see what's better, and Beijing is so much better. As for broadcast, I'm watching Eurosport, BBC and some local channels. Still, doesn't match the previous Olympics.
And the opening ceremony... How the hell can you say it's better? It's maybe the worst one (except the wonderful music) I've seen in years.
