Danica has lots of fans even though she's had very little actual racing success.

In business, morals are a sign of weakness (probably).

not in a business that relies on fans supporting them.

I think Andrew means actually having morals rather than just giving the appearance.

Webber has rubbished quotes that he has a good cameraderie with Vettel. He posted a great tweet.
"There's some rubbish quotes floating around today I hear. Good spin job by someone" :hehe:

I doubt Webber gives a toss.

He should. No team should be happy having a loose mouth driving for them.

That could be my new name for Webber - The Mouth. :hehe:

Maybe the team shouldn't be putting words into that mouth.

The title of the thread is Red Bull Spin, the lack of morality is implied.

F1 drivers and Twitter, the gift that keeps on giving. How great would it have been if James Hunt had a Twitter account. :cloud9:

Is it? All F1 teams have a PR machines that spout nonsensical twaddle.

I'd say so, yes.....

Spin
In public relations, spin is a form of propaganda, achieved through providing an interpretation of an event or campaign to persuade public opinion in favor or against a certain organization or public figure. While traditional public relations may also rely on creative presentation of the facts, "spin" often, though not always, implies disingenuous, deceptive and/or highly manipulative tactics*

*And yes I know you'll clamp onto the fact the above definition states 'not always', but surely you cant deny that the majority of times someone uses the word spin, it is in the context of 'disingenuous, deceptive and/or highly manipulative tactics'

I know fully well what PR and spin are. However, I don't see any difference between the stuff coming from RBR or Ferrari or McLaren or any other front running team.

RBR are an easy target at the moment due to jealousy at their run of success. I've said it before and am being proven right when I say F1 doesn't like it when a younger team/new winner starts beating the old guard.

You're making quite an assumption there with the jealousy statement. Perhaps even presumptuous. I think they deserve all of the accolades they get for winning, they've had a fantastic car, they've been relatively reliable, and they've got a triple double under their belts.

Jealousy has nothing to do with my not being a fan. Can't speak for everyone though.

But why get so get up about it in a thread dedicated to RedBull spin....?

I'm confused with exactly what you issue is?
