One of the most interesting start battles may be between LH on the dirty side versus FA on the clean side. But, the McLaren is a quick starter, so it may be too much to hope that FA gets ahead.

but in the last few races, the ferrari's race pace has been easily good enough, if he gets ahead of LH i reckon he could stay there if he wanted to .

The way I see it, it's going to be tough for positions 2-5 in turn one!

Thats a lot of confidence in a driver who lost out two places by the first corner........in the last race we can go on.......

He also got away really easily in Aus and Malaysia. 2/3 isn't bad odds

bulls 1-2. unless they have a bad start.

you never know, rosberg might get a win!

Hoping so.......! I can only see Seb, Webber or Nico winning today judging by pace of the cars over the last few days. However I wouldn't rule any of the Top 10 out for a podium....you just never know with Pirelli tyres!

Merc should be pushing both cars into the Top 5 and aiming to get Nico onto the podium IMO. Would be a fantastic result after a difficult start.

Hispania's Tonio Liuzzi talks about Turkey's turn 8 in this interview, it sounds pretty awesome!

Q. The next race is in Istanbul, and turn eight is fast becoming famous. Can you take us through what it’s like to hit a corner with three apex’s at about 270 kph?

A. It’s pure adrenaline, there a lot of apexes and you have to get it right from the beginning as you basically fly into the corner. I love the adrenaline you feel once you come out of it and appreciate what you’ve just done.

Oh dear...where has the Merc pace gone! I expect some serious explanations from Merc after the race....these performances are shocking and embarssing, not only for the team, but as a fan...theyve got the pace of a mid field team. Disgusting Mercedes

Massa's an <EDITED FOR CONTENT>

Alonso tried, but once the fuel load comes down, it starts to simulate qualifying conditions, and the Ferrari can't compete with the redbull under those circumstances.

Vettel is looking uncatchable,

Wrong strategy from Button, think on a 4 stopper he would've finished 4th.

Mercedes have improved their qualifying pace, but like Brawn said, their slow on high fuel loads.

Renault, Force India and Sauber are all looking very decent.

Everything past P1 today was exiting! Damn you Vettel... the finger returns! A begrudging congratulations to him, for a clean trouble free and boring race.

My hat goes off to Alonso, excellent drive, the F150 is a Jekyll & Hyde car when it comes to qualifying versus the race, but I don't buy that it was all due to the performance upgrades brought by Ferrari as Massa's abysmal drive today would support that. Today Alonso showed what he could do given a chance with a car under him. Big congratulations to him.

My hero Kobayashi comes through again! A big congratulations to him, the most deserved point on the grid today! On last big ups for Buemi, he's got to be proud of his performance today as well.

McLaren was a bride's maid today, retool, regroup, and try again next week boys. It's all about tire strategy for everyone but the Red Bulls.

Think a lot of it was the hard tyres myself (RB's quali pace is down to their DRS i'd say). Still, 10s off the winner is a very good sign for them. Odd drop off in pace and positions by Massa though.

I think McLaren (and everyone except for Vettel really) lost a lot of time squabbling at the start. Easy win once again for SV after that...

Quick shout for Buemi who did very well to finish 9th i think!

Holy :censored: What a brilliant race!!

The mclaren duels on the first stint, the way Alonso fought hard and Webber's comeback was pretty amazing..... Kobayashi was awesome, although we didnt get to see him much. Too bad the Mclarens both had pit issues, the team looked a bit out of sync, kinda like Ferrari in the last race.

Exciting race from Massa, he deserved a bit better reward, but his race was full of action all the way.

A bit of a hopeful disspointment in Perez... despite the issue on L1 he had a really good race, lost the position there with the blue flag to Vettel.

Red Bull must feel crazy right now. But at least Alonso/Ferrari looked on pace lots of good clean fights... who knows a little upgrade here and there and things could get interesting.

Vettel is out of this world though.

Ah well... good race
